Lenovo ThinkPad E560 Review

The Lenovo ThinkPad E560 has almost 8 hours of battery life and a comfortable keyboard, but it doesn't stand up to the durability standards of other business laptops.

Comfy keyboard; Strong performance; Very good battery life; Clear audio

Not MIL-SPEC tested for durability; Dull display

Lenovo ThinkPad E560 (Core i3, HD) Notebook Review

Enduring worker. Our present model of the ThinkPad E560 is aimed at price-sensitive users. A bit over 500 Euros (~$553) has to be ponied up for the device. The buyer gets a Core i3 processor, long battery life, outstanding keyboard and two Windows...

matte screen ; runs quietly ; low temperatures ; decent casing quality ; very good keyboard ; docking port ; very good battery life

dark screen ; 12-month warranty only

Our present ThinkPad is a low-cost member of the lineup. The installed Core i3 processor has more than enough computing power for office and Internet applications. The laptop usually runs quietly and barely heats up. It would be easy to swap the...

Lenovo ThinkPad E560 (Core i7, Radeon R7 M370) Notebook Review

Successful evolution. For the first time, Lenovo equips a ThinkPad from the E500 series with a high-quality IPS display as well as a graphics card with fast GDDR5 memory. The price including SSD and i7 CPU is still below 1,000 Euros (~$1096) – is it a...

decent case quality, excellent keyboard, optional docking solutions, high-contrast and high-resolution IPS display with wide viewing angles, very good application performance, low noise development, good price-performance ratio

mediocre color reproduction of the display, limited upgradeability, slight throttling under maximum load, only 12 months warranty

After the excellent result of the ThinkPad E460, the E560 continues the good performance and Lenovo is once again (depending on the configuration) able to offer a comparatively inexpensive entry-level model without bigger issues. Besides the, as usual,...

Takes everything you can throw at it. Solid construction, nice lay-out. I really like the red navigation button.

Keyboard feel

Lots! 1. Absolutely driving blind there are no led feedback lights to show you when processor is working 2. Just feels & looks "bare / stripped back" on user feedback / interface 3. The on / off light is red dot that seems to stay on when off for short...

Nice keyboard

I don't like that the buttons are above the mouse pad, prefer them below.

Good size and weight

Irritating red mouse in the keyboard. No lights on caps lock or numbers lock as one would expect but one one on fn key- why? To get an icon up for the caps lock needed remote access to my Laptop from Bucharest!

Good easy setup and once working good keyboard layout good fast response time and having never been a fan of touch pads this one could convert me. All in all very good value for money.

So far haven't found any major issues with the machine.
