Lenovo ThinkBook 13s review: A business notebook that you can use for play

This is a business notebook that you won't mind taking home with you.

Strong all-round performance ; Discrete graphics ; Features TPM 2.0 ; Built-in webcam privacy shutter ; All-aluminium construction ; Relatively affordable

Uninspired display ; No Thunderbolt 3 support ; Cannot charge via USB-C ; No memory card reader ; Rather small battery

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s review

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is intended to provide small and medium business users with just enough business features to woo them away from competing consumer offerings. Unfortunately, we don't think it offers enough.

Lenovo's ThinkBook 13s is for small businesses but forgets what they really need

Lenovo ThinkBook 13S review: business on a budget

A balanced book.

Sharp 16:10 display ; Good port selection with Thunderbolt 4 ; Solid audio ; Good performance for the price

Keyboard’s a bit flat ; Coarse touchpad ; Gets loud and hot under productivity loads ; Dim display

The Lenovo ThinkBook 13S offers a solid 16:10 screen, a physical webcam shutter, and a portable build for an affordable price. The new line is aimed at small companies that don’t have the funds for pricier business laptops. Our test unit, which...

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s

Aimed at small-to-midsize businesses that might not have the money for ThinkPads, Lenovo's ThinkBook 13s is a likable, if not landmark, ultraportable available in Core i5 and Core i7 flavors.

Affordable. Packs HDMI, USB-C, and USB-A ports. Decent screen. Impressive battery life.

No SD or microSD card slot. No Thunderbolt 3 port. Keyboard layout not up to ThinkPad standards.

Bottom Line: Aimed at small-to-midsize businesses that might not have the money for ThinkPads, Lenovo's ThinkBook 13s is a likable, if not landmark, ultraportable available in Core i5 and Core i7 flavors.

Review: Lenovo ThinkBook 13s pairs solid business features with consumer-friendly touches

Lenovo's ThinkBook 13s notebook PC offers substantial value, building off of Lenovo's expertise in business PCs. Consumers will appreciate the excellent audio and solid battery life.

Surprisingly good audio quality ; 10 hours of battery life ; Lenovo's excellent Vantage utility lets you fine-tune PC functions ; Affordable price

Middling performance

While 6th-Gen remains the superior business notebook in Lenovo’s stable, the MSRP is well over $1,000. (Prices on the base models have fallen to $999, as the have begun to ship.) It’s probably worth considering picking up a deal on the older X1 Carbon...

ThinkBook 13s review (2019)

Clean design ; Good display ; Long battery life

Limited performance ; No SD card slot ; Heavier than I'd like

The ThinkBook 13s is an adept workplace PC that’s not super-powerful but it is nice to look at and easy to rely on.

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s review: A solid, affordable small business laptop

Our Lenovo ThinkBook 13s review takes a look at a laptop that takes on the ThinkPad model without the TrackPoint nub on the keyboard and higher price.

Thin design ; Excellent battery life ; Good sound ; Windows 10 ; decent display ; Runs smoothly

High price on low end specs ; No SD card support ; Not enough storage with 128GB option

By far, this has probably been the best Lenovo laptop I have reviewed. The awesome, long-lasting battery life will get users through the day and more. On the performance side, it runs really good, even with 8GB of RAM. The sound quality is powered by...

Lenovo ThinkBook 13s review: A capable all-rounder Review | ZDNet

It's hard to find a combination of features that will satisfy both business users and consumers. Lenovo's ThinkBook is a creditable effort, but it's not without drawbacks.

Solid build and attractive design ; Fingerprint scanner ; ThinkShutter for webcam ; Good speakers ; Good battery life

Screen could be brighter ; Only one USB-C port ; No touch-screen option ; No mobile broadband option

Decent professional-grade performance ; Ample RAM ; Storage is fast with an SSD ; Compact size and lightweight design makes it highly portable ; Good battery life
