Lenovo IdeaPad 720S review: An excellent mid-range 14-inch Ultrabook with a slim design and good screen
Slim, stylish, all-metal exterior ; Great screen ; Excellent overall performance ; Good connectivity
Nvidia graphics not necessary for all ; 14-inch form factor adds weight
Not the slimmest or lightest laptop around, but an all-metal design, great screen, plenty of performance and good battery life combine to make the Lenovo IdeaPad 720S an excellent option for its price.

A compact laptop with plenty of power
Great overall performance ; Beautiful design ; Discrete graphics offers extra options
Slightly awkward keyboard ; Middling battery life ; Loud fan
Tight bezel, decent CPU, and dedicated graphics, all crammed in to an almost impossibly small slimline aluminium case. Nice.

A review of the IdeaPad 720S, a 14in laptop that offers decent performance, screen quality and battery life at a sensible price.

The Lenovo Ideapad 720s might not be the cheapest prospect, but it has a pleasingly slim frame and has a styling that appears almost Apple-esque. Of course, looks aren't everything. So can this laptop deliver when it comes to browsing, spreadsheets and...

This thin, lightweight laptop features an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, a 512GB solid-state drive and fingerprint security. Plus: Save $125 on this top-rated housecleaning robot.

With the handbrake left on. The Lenovo IdeaPad 720s-13ARR is a 13.3-inch notebook with a sleek, slim keyboard, a backlit keyboard and an NVMe SSD. Unfortunately, neither the processor nor the battery life lives up to expectations. Find out in this...
matte IPS display ; Full HD resolution ; stylish, slim case ; NVMe SSD ; thin bezels
the processor cannot reach its full potential ; the soldered RAM runs in single-channel mode ; few input devices ; average battery life ; no card reader ; average Wi-Fi speeds
The Lenovo IdeaPad 720s-13ARR is a solid device, but its poor cooling solution and TDP settings mean that it cannot fully exploit either its APU or its GPU. Worse still, Lenovo has limited the device to run in single-channel mode. This limits GPU...

Ultra-mobile office performance. Lenovo calls the new IdeaPad 720s an "extremely high-performance and stylish power package." Even though we would not quite call it that, the performance is still impressive for a notebook that is only 13 mm (~0.51 in)...
very light ; very thin ; good cooling system ; long battery life ; almost bezel-less display
few connections ; hardly any maintenance options ; only single-channel RAM is available
The IdeaPad 720s by Lenovo is a very light and ultra-slim notebook for everyday office work. As one of the few devices in our test, the IdeaPad 720s is able to maintain its performance consistently and without drops. Even under extreme conditions, the...
