What’s it like to use a $300 Windows laptop for a day?

The HP 14 is one of the cheapest Windows laptops you can buy. We used it for a day of work, and while the experience was far from perfect, we can confirm that it's a functional device with some surprising perks.

Great price ; Surprisingly usable gaming experience ; Fun keyboard ; SD slot

Clunky chassis ; Small, stiff touchpad ; Thin audio ; Limited RAM and storage

Now, do I necessarily recommend that you buy this? If you can afford something with more storage, a brighter screen, a bigger touchpad, and a better-looking and better-built chassis, then no. But if you need Windows, and you need Windows for cheaper...

HP Laptop 14-dq2020nr Review

If you have less than $500 to spend on a new Windows notebook, you could do worse than the HP Laptop 14-dq2020nr, but be prepared to live with its limitations.
