HP Folio 13

The Folio 13 is a strong Ultrabook entrant with great battery life.

Stylish and well built, Excellent battery life, Competitively priced

Trackpad takes some getting used to, Powerbrick reduces portability

HP Folio 13 review

Can HP's sober-suited Folio 13 cut it in the fashion-conscious Ultrabook market?

Excellent build ; Lovely backlit keyboard ; Great SSD storage ; USB 3.0 port ; Decent battery life

Not as sexy as some Ultrabooks ; Very poor screen ; Mediocre CPU ; Odd memory configuration ; Irritating touchpad

The glossy sheen of newness has yet wear off Intel's Ultrabook concept. But already we're seeing Ultrabooks begin to consolidate into numerous niches, including luxury systems, affordable sub-£600/$900 models for home use and more business-orientated kit.

HP Folio 13 review

The HP Folio 13 is aimed more at the business rather than consumer market, and consequently is less flashy than some of the other Ultrabooks that have emerged so far. That it is not to say it isn't attractive itself - far from it in fact.

Very generous battery life,Solidly built,Good connectivity,Performs great all-round

Not the lightest Ultrabook around

Overall the Folio 13 ticks just about all of the boxes for what Intel has set out to achieve with its Ultrabooks.Aside from a few minor niggles, we would definitely recommend the Folio 13, whether for business use or otherwise. With smart good looks,...

HP Folio 13-2000 review

While Intel is egging on its customers to build copies of the MacBook Air, HP may have found the sweetspot, building a well-made 13in ultraportable for under £750.

The HP Folio 13-2000 is the company's first attempt at making one of Intel's ultrabooks and, by golly, it’s got most of it right. The screen may let it down, but the laptop looks good, performs well, looks after its battery and comes in at a very...

HP Folio 13 review

The HP Folio 13 is Hewlett Packard's stab at the ultraportable market created by Apple with its MacBook Air.

The HP Folio 13 is a solid effort from HP that, instead of blindly shedding features and usability in the name of thin-and-light, strikes a reasonable balance. It may be a tad pricey for some shoppers, but including a solid-state drive always drives up...

HP Folio 13 review

The HP Folio 13's slower mobile processor and lack of upgradability means that it is not an ideal machine for power users who need a faster processor and ample storage capacity. However, there is no sign that HP has sacrificed functionality in any way...

HP Folio 13 review

HP's ultrabook offers decent battery life but weight is more laptop than lightweight

is the company's first ultrabook aimed at the professional market. It's designed to offer the latest Intel processors in a sleek, stylish and highly portable package.

HP Folio 13 review

HP's Folio 13 is the company's first ultrabook model aimed at business and professional users, designed to offer the latest Intel processors in a sleek, stylish and highly portable format.

Good battery life, decent performance, feels sturdy

Non-removable battery, sparse I/O capabilities

HP's Folio 13 offers a decent compromise between heavy corporate laptops and lightweight models that lack performance, and looks suitably professional. However, at 1.5kg it is pushing the definition of an ultrabook.
