Gigabyte Aorus 15G Review | Trusted Reviews

The Gigabyte Aorus 15G excels at Full HD gaming, featuring superb specs, a high refresh rate and a mechanical keyboard. But is it worth the high price?

Mechanical keyboard is satisfying and responsive to use ;240Hz refresh rate allows for smooth visuals;Excellent performance with modern games;Decent battery life

Expensive compared to rivals;Aluminium chassis is hefty and a little boring ;The screen is strangely flimsy and feels fragile

Gigabyte Aorus 15G gaming laptop review: Chunky but funky

An Intel 10th Gen-powered gaming monster that's a beautifully crafted gaming machine with a 240Hz screen and OMRON mechanical key switches.

Great mechanical keyboard design ; CNC milled chassis looks distinctive ; Ultrafast screen visuals ; Long battery life ; Upgradable NVMe and spare slot ; Bright screen that works outside too

A bit chunky and can be uncomfortable to type on for long periods ; Fans are really loud ; Wi-Fi struggles occasionally ; Absurd built-in webcam position

This is a powerful, beautifully crafted and feature-packed gaming laptop. However, there are a few minor niggles - fan noise, Wi-Fi oddities - but we otherwise thoroughly enjoyed using this machine for its fast-refresh screen when gaming and strong...

Gigabyte Aorus 15G Laptop Review

Gigabyte's Aorus 15G laptop packs a 10th Gen Intel CPU and Nvidia RTX 2070 Super graphics, but while

Mechanical keyboard with Omron switches feels excellent.

Keyboard layout requires familiarisation.

Gigabyte Aorus 15G is a capable gaming laptop that delivers solid performance and the mechanical keyboard is a delight.

Aorus 15G XB Review: Mechanical Prowess

The Aorus 15G XB manages to fit a full mechanical keyboard into a less-than-1-inch thick case without sacrificing power.

Mechanical keyboard ; 240 Hz display ; Strong productivity performance

Poor webcam placement ; Dim screen with poor color reproduction

The Aorus 15G XB is the thinnest laptop with a full physical mechanical keyboard we've reviewed yet, making its powerful performance all the more impressive.

Gigabyte’s Aorus 15G is great at gaming, but not much else

A refined look and fantastic gaming performance, but most other things are the same

Sharp, color-accurate screen ; Almost no bloatware ; Reliably smooth gameplay ; It doesn’t run loud or too hot

Awkward nostril webcam ; Crowded keyboard ; Missing a Thunderbolt port ; 512GB of storage doesn’t cut it

If you’re looking for a thin laptop that’s all about gaming, Gigabyte’s Aorus 15G is a good candidate. However, if you plan on using it for more than gaming, its crowded keyboard, nose-gazing webcam, and small trackpad disappoint.

Aorus 15G Review

Powerful gaming performance ; Stylish and well made ; Fantastic mechanical keyboard ; Built-in fingerprint reader ; Long battery life

Awkward webcam location ; Screen doesn't support G-Sync ; Fans get noisy while gaming

Aorus' elite 15.6-incher, the 15G, offers top-shelf gaming performance and a splash of uniqueness from its Omron-switch mechanical keyboard, all for slightly less money than its competition.

Gigabyte Aorus 15G (2021, RTX 3070) review

A new badass GPU doesn't make a gaming laptop good

Stellar performance and graphics ; Small footprint ; Colorful, 240Hz panel

Short battery life ; Display could be brighter ; Poorly placed webcam ; Squishy keyboard ; Mediocre speakers ; Runs hot

The Gigabyte Aorus 15G sports a killer RTX 3070 GPU, but between short battery life, a squishy keyboard and mediocre speakers, the graphics card can’t make up for everything.

Aorus 15G review

The Aorus 15G kicks ass in performance, but not so much with the display

Strong graphics and performance ; Long battery life ; 240Hz panel

Dismal display ; Meh speakers ; Thick chassis ; Poorly placed webcam

The Aorus 15G features powerful new components and long battery life, but its dismal display and mediocre speakers weigh it down.
