Dell XPS 13

Despite the rise in competition, Dell does more than enough with the XPS 13 to make it the most desirable Windows Ultrabook around.

Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook

Beautifully designed, Dell's XPS 13 is one of the best premium Ultrabooks we've seen.

13in screen in 12in chassis ; Premium feel throughout ; Great typing experience ; Better than average battery life

Poor quality screen ; Limited connectivity ; A bit expensive

Dell XPS 13 (2014) review

This is Dell's ultimate ultrabook on 1080p and Haswell

Alluring, compact design ; Snappy keyboard ; Sharp touchscreen ; Punchy performance

Lacks SD card reader ; Disappointing battery life ; No customization options

With an FHD touchscreen and 4th generation Intel Core chips, Dell's XPS 13 remains an ultrabook to beat.

Dell XPS 13 review: This golden ultraportable hasn't lost its luster

New processors and the versatility of Thunderbolt 3 help keep the XPS 13 as a top choice.

The Dell XPS 13 keeps everything that was great about the previous model -- including its near edge-to-edge-display and fantastic keyboard -- and adds the latest Intel Kaby Lake processors and Thunderbolt 3.

The design means the webcam is awkwardly placed at the bottom of the display. Though the QHD-resolution touchscreen is beautiful, it adds a lot to the price and hurts battery life. Gold version will cost you $50 more.

Whether you scale back for better battery life or load it up for the best performance possible, the Dell XPS 13 remains one excellent ultraportable laptop.

Dell XPS 13 review: The laptop with the golden touch

This updated Dell XPS 13 is colored gold and has a high price to match.

This updated XPS 13 has a stunning nearly edge-to-edge high-res display, and an upgraded processor and graphics.

This gold edition is very expensive, and battery life isn't as good as some other 13-inch laptops. The touchpad is tricky to use for some multitouch gestures.

The excellent Dell XPS 13 series gets a high-end upgrade in this gold edition with improved performance, but also a high-end price to match.

Dell XPS 13 review: Stunning screen and compact design make this the first great laptop of 2015

Taking a hint from TV-makers, the bezel narrows to nearly nothing, while performance gets a small Broadwell boost.

Dell's revamped XPS 13 has a nearly borderless display and a very small body for a 13-inch laptop, plus the latest Intel CPUs.

Upgrades can get expensive; a touchscreen isn't included by default; the boost from the new CPU is minimal.

This new Dell XPS 13 is the first great laptop of 2015, but it owes that title more to a smart design revamp than Intel's new processors.
