Too pricey for its middling gaming performance

Corsair’s first high-end gaming laptop hits the ground running, with an excellent feature set that includes a nifty, Elgato-powered macro bar, but its middling performance doesn’t match its high-flying price.

Corsair’s first gaming laptop has no shortage of interesting features, including a Stream Deck, but starting at $2,699, neither its unique quirks nor its performance are at the level to make this a must-have gadget.

Since Corsair does have the ability to patch the machine, and since the company has generally taken good care of its products in the past, I don’t have it in me to excoriate the device completely. It really does have good components, and an excellent...
