The dual-screen design has its uses, but it introduces big compromises too
Potentially useful dual-screen design
Cramped keyboard and trackpad

Good battery life and handy screens meet a cramped keyboard and tiny touchpad.
Reasonably thin and light for a dual-screen laptop ; Intuitive control software for managing the second screen ; Very good batter life for a dual-screen laptop
Second screen means small keys and a tiny touchpad ; Mostly middling performance
The Asus ZenBook Duo UX481 is the best dual-screen laptop yet, combining good battery life with an intuitive UI in a 3.3-pound package. Just know that the keyboard and touchpad suffer greatly to make room for the second display.

Very nearly a great notebook.
Clever packaging ; ScreenPad Plus genuinely useful ; Great specs, good performance ; Matte main display ; Wi-Fi 6 support ; Attractively priced
Odd keyboard layout ; Tiny trackpad ; Main display doesn't support touch ; ScreenPad Plus can be too dim ; No Thunderbolt 3 support ; USB-C port cannot be used for charging

Dual screens look great and work well ; Fast performance ; Great battery life
Keyboard and trackpad are small and uncomfortable ; Heavy and thick ; ScreenPad Plus’s short height limits usability

The Asus ZenBook Duo takes great advantage of its ScreenPad 2.0, a second display that offers some real advantages to creative users and multitaskers.
Solid productivity performance ; Good battery life ; Secondary screen is useful ; Attractive design
Cramped keyboard and touchpad ; Chassis is a bit chunky

The ZenBook Duo is a dual-screen laptop for the masses
Vivid 14-inch matte display ; Functional second 12.6-inch screen ; Strong performance ; Long battery life ; Stunning 'Celestial Blue' color
Thicker, heavier than rivals ; Keyboard position is uncomfortable ; Narrow trackpad ; No Thunderbolt 3 ports
Asus's ZenBook Duo is an innovative laptop with strong performance and a secondary 12.6-inch display at a reasonable price.

Dual-screen laptops are no longer science fiction, but they're still too early to go mainstream.
