Asus X555 laptop review: Heavy piece of powerful hardware review

The mean machine

Powerful hardware ; long battery ; high storage and memory count

Steep pricing ; lacks FHD display ; bulky in nature

It has the power to match the best in business, but is only meant for those who don’t mind having a HD display notebook these days. Asus X555 is a mixed bag in terms of being a notebook. It has the means and raw hardware to match the best in its class...

Asus X555LA-XX290H review

The perfect all-round laptop for work and play at a tiny £300, we review the Asus X555LA-XX290H budget laptop

Asus has restricted build and component quality to fit the attractive £300 price point, but all the essentials work well together. The Haswell Intel chip means overall performance is better than any Celeron-based competition in the Asus X555LA-XX290H.

Asus Notebook X555MA

The Asus Notebook X555MA is a 15.6inch screen notebook from Asus that runs Windows 8.1, it has an Intel i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 1TB hard disc. The price is quite reasonable so what is not to like about this offering as it even has a DVD drive?

This notebook measures 37x25.5x2cm the last figure is at the back and it slims to only 1cm at the front, it weights 2120grams. The right side has the optical drive, a USB port, 3.5mm headphone socket and an SD card socket. The front is clear as is the...

Asus X555LD-XX283H Notebook Review

Inexpensive all-rounder. A Core i3 processor and GeForce 820M graphics core make the Asus laptop a versatile all-rounder that offers enough power for everyday use and playing the odd game. Could buying a device for around 450 Euros (~$505) be a mistake?

Decent application performance, Gaming suitable, Casing's low temperatures

Wobbly keyboard, Dark screen

Asus' X555LD-XX283H is a 15.6-inch inexpensive all-rounder. Its computing power is more than enough for everyday use. It is even possible to play computer games - though to a limited extent. Casual gamers should be happy with the gaming power....

Asus X555LN-XO112H Notebook Review

Low in contrast. Gaming-suitable laptops no longer have to be a costly affair these days. Asus also follows this trend with its X555LN. For 500 Euros (~$646), the buyer gets a 15.6-inch device with a Core i5 processor and GeForce 840M graphics core....

Matte screen, Decent application performance, Gaming suitable, Barely heats up, Relatively low power consumption

Dark, low-contrast screen, No maintenance cover, Wobbly keyboard

Asus' X555LN-XO112H is a 15.6-inch, all-round laptop. It is impressive in all common application fields, which also includes rendering computer games. At the same time, it barely heats up and consumes relatively little power. The battery runtimes are...
