Asus ROG G752VM

Most 17.3in gaming laptops pair their imposing stature with huge, flagship components. That's great for smooth frame rates, but not so good for the price.

Big, bulky and expensive. For better or worse, this is a classic gaming notebook.

Asus ROG G752 review

A hefty, punchy mobile PC gaming powerhouse

Top-end specs and performance ; Distinguished design ; G-Sync tech for smooth play

Very weighty machine ; Poor battery life ; No 4K screen

This top-spec portable PC gaming beast offers plenty of power, and its stand-out looks and specialist cooling system make it a machine to be reckoned with – plus it's actually quite a value, too.

Asus ROG G752VS OC Edition review: Bright lights, big performance, a bit disappointing

With Windows 10 Pro, a GTX 1070 GPU and an overclockable CPU and memory, this 17-inch behemoth has performance to spare, but a few caveats keep it from being an easy recommendation.

The Asus ROG G752VS OC Edition offers excellent gaming performance and plenty of power for other tasks like high-resolution photo- and video-editing. The screen's 120Hz refresh rate keeps games looking smooth as does Nvidia's G-Sync tech.

The laptop is big and heavy, with a shape that keeps it from fitting in normal 17-inch laptop bags. The touchpad is too unreliable for a $2,500 laptop. Missing the RGB keyboard found on the lower-end Asus Strix models.

The Asus ROG G752VS OC Edition not only looks the part of a gaming laptop, it has the insides to tackle whatever you throw at it. Too bad some of its other pieces don't match its price and performance.

Asus RoG G752 review

The looks may divide opinion, but the performance won't: this is one of the most powerful gaming laptops you can buy. Here's our Asus RoG G752 review.

The Asus RoG G752 is one of the few laptops that, even in 2016, can justify being almost 5cm thick and a monstrous 4kg. This almighty body lets it fit in everything that makes a gaming laptop great, from quiet-running fans to the fast mobile GPU money...

Asus G752 review: A slightly slimmed gaming giant

A little lighter and sleeker, the Asus G752 is still a workhorse PC gaming laptop.

The Asus G752 is a little slimmer than its predecessor, and its new design lightens up the previous black slab look. Performance is excellent, and a backlit keyboard with macro keys makes for comfortable gaming.

Despite the refresh, this still looks like something that lives in a dorm room or LAN party basement. Even some of the more expensive configurations drop the graphics card a notch. No touch screen or higher-res options.

Asus carries its Republic of Gamers line forward with a modern-feeling overhaul, but the new Intel processors in the G752 are matched with graphics cards more than a year old.

Asus ROG G752 review

The Asus G752 takes the compromise out of mobile gaming

The Asus G752 is the most dramatic design revision we’ve seen from the company’s gaming division in the last five years, and the results are mixed. The new silver-and-bronze scheme is unique, and will likely serve the company well in the future....
