The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 impresses in most of the areas that matter. Here's our full review

There's little to criticise about this Asus Chromebook. It's far cheaper than a Windows laptop equivalent, but Chrome OS may be restrictive for some.
Good keyboard ; Good screen ; Solid battery life
Disappointing trackpad ; Chrome OS’s apps are still weak
There are no major hardware issues here bar a slightly dodgy trackpad. However, the main issue at this £600 asking price is getting to grips with what Chrome OS can’t do compared to Windows. Square yourself with that and this is one of the best...

This classy Chromebook shows up Chrome OS's less classy bits
Bold, slim-surround screen ; Good battery life ; Solid keyboard
Plastic trackpad doesn’t match the rest for quality ; Flaky app support ; More versatile Windows laptops available at the price
This is one of the top high-quality Chromebooks, and a better buy than a Pixelbook, but this entire category has a few issues

Asus tries to build on the success of its excellent C302CA Chromebook with its replacement, the Flip C434TA. But, is it good enough to claim the crown? Find out in our full review.

The latest ASUS Chromebook Flip is a solid all-around performer, even if it's larger, heavier and more expensive than its predecessor. It gets all the essentials (like the keyboard, trackpad and display) right with performance that's good enough for...
Nice display with minimal bezels ; Excellent battery life ; Solid keyboard and trackpad ; Performance that’s good enough for most people
Larger and heavier than the previous Flip ; 4GB of RAM isn’t enough for heavy multitasking ; Pricey for a Chromebook

Premium and sleek design ; Thin bezels all around ; Touchscreen display ; Longer ; Good enough keyboard
Still a bit higher in price ; Snappy and disappointing ; Uninspiring display ; Too stiff hinge ; Smaller downward-facing speakers

Asus C434TA-E10008 looks like a business Ultrabook, but the price is like an economy model. You get everything you need - so why pay more?
Slim and gorgeous aluminum cabinet, good 360-degree touch screen. Quick to use.
A little heavier than the top model which only costs a little more. Not as flexible as a PC.
The Asus C434TA-E1008 is twice as expensive as the cheapest in the test, but it gives you quite a lot of machine for the money. It is generally just as fast, and has as good a screen as the top model – but is comfortably cheaper.

At CES 2019, Asus presented a new and interesting Chromebook, the Flip C434. We were able to test it and here are our final impressions.
Elegant design ; Excellent battery life ; Performance ; Connection technology
Limited tablet mode ; High price for a Chromebook
Yes, the Asus Chromebook Flip C434 ranks among the best Chromebooks on the market. The new upgrade from the Taiwanese manufacturer has taken up the best features of its predecessor (the C302) while offering new settings that optimize its design and...

When premium Chromebooks first started becoming popular, my favorite was the ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 . Back then, it was an underdog compared to the Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro, but in 2019, the market has grown dramatically. Does the ASUS...
