Asus Eee PC X101CH

As netbooks go, Asus' Eee PC X101CH is slim, attractive and easy to use.

Fanless cooling = quiet, Slim and light, Attractive, textured chassis, Matt screen, decent connectivity, Very affordable

Poor screen, Limited performance, Not upgradeable, Average battery life

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM review

The Asus Eee PC 1015PEM is the latest addition to Asus' burgeoning 10in Eee PC netbook range. Here's our review of this low-price laptop.

The Asus Eee PC 1015PEM netbook sells for a price of £301. It's definitely not the cheapest netbook out there, but it's hardly expensive. The Eee PC 1015PEM packs in a dual-core Atom N550 processor and comes with some noteworthy features such as online...

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM-PU17 review

Not much has changed in Netbooks since next-gen Atom N450 processors hit the scene at the beginning of 2010, which is why the emergence of dual-core Atom Netbooks merits some interest. Single-core Netbooks have always lacked the oomph to attack tasks...

Long battery life; dual-core Atom processor offers better multitasking speeds; cost for a dual-core Atom configuration isn't much more than for the single-core alternative.

Cramped keyboard; streaming full-screen videos don't look much better than on single-core Atom Netbooks; lacks HD screen and HD accelerated graphics.

For only a slight price increase over its single-core cousins, the Asus Eee PC 1015PEM's dual-core Atom CPU handles multitasking better, but this Netbook doesn't offer the features or performance we've seen in higher-priced "premium" alternatives.

An Asus Dual-Core Netbook : Asus Eee 1015PEM

A new netbook from Asus comes with two "firsts". One was to do with Asus while the other was a first for me.

The 6-cell battery pack supplied with this netbook is rated at providing up to 11 hours of use. Naturally this will depend a great deal of how the netbook is being used. While I was unable to match the promised of 11 hours, I did manage to watch DVD...

Asus Eee PC 1015PEM

Review Will someone please do something interesting with the netbook. Even Asus, the company that created this category of computer, doesn't appear to be able to do anything with it, if it's latest Eee PC, the 1015PEM, is anything to go by.

Asus' Eee PC 1015PEM packs in as much new technology as you'd expect a netbook to offer, but the result is underwhelming. There's no real improvement in performance over previous generations, though the battery life is better. But netbooks like these...
