Asus Chromebook Flip C436 Review | Trusted Reviews

The Asus Chromebook Flip C436 is a premium Chromebook with powerful specs, but at such an expensive price, is it a worthwhile Windows laptop alternative?

Light magnesium alloy shell;Vivid display colour;More capable than most Chromebooks

App support issues question the extra power’s worth;Expensive; Some keyboard flex;Overly sensitive touchpad

The Asus Chromebook Flip C436 is a performance laptop from a Chrome OS expert

Asus Chromebook Flip C436 review: Flippin' powerful, but flippin' pricey too

If you're looking for the most powerful Chromebook going then look no further. But does that add much more than additional expense to the experience?

Magnesium alloy design ; Rich screen ; More powerful than the average Chromebook

It costs a lot… and still can’t do all that much ; Battery life no better than a Windows model ; Tetchy touchpad

A premium Chromebook with design appeal - but its high-end spec isn't as useful in Chrome OS as a comparable Windows machine and, therefore, it's hard to really recommend. We'd suggest the lower-power Asus C434 instead.

Asus Chromebook Flip C436 Review: Hands-on

An undeniable triumph in the pursuit of making one of the best premium Chromebook experiences to date but whether people are asking for such a Chrome OS experience is less certain

Chromebook Flip C436 review: ASUS missed the sweet spot

ASUS is back with another solid Chromebook, but the Flip C436 isn't as easy to recommend as its predecessors. It's well-designed, fast, and has a great keyboard and solid screen. But mediocre battery life and a very high entry price make it hard to...

Excellent keyboard ; Great performance ; Lots of RAM and storage space ; Solid display ; Thinner and lighter than the previous model

Mediocre battery life ; Very expensive

Asus Chromebook Flip C436 review: Chromebooks have grown up

The Asus Chromebook Flip C436 proves that Chrome OS 2-in-1s can be just as well-built as their Windows 10 alternatives. Plus, they can be just as fast.

Solid build quality ; Excellent performance ; Speedy SSD storage

Battery life is mediocre ; Too expensive

Asus Chromebook Flip C436 Review

Elegant design ; Fast SSD instead of eMMC storage ; Handsome 1080p touch screen ; Fingerprint reader

Pricey by Chromebook standards ; No HDMI port or LTE broadband option ; Merely adequate battery life

The size of a 13-inch system, the 14-inch Asus Chromebook Flip C436 2-in-1 advances the state of the Chromebook art.

Asus Chromebook Flip C436 review

Asus' Chromebook Flip C436 is a pricey but capable convertible Chromebook

Sleek design ; Fast performance ; Vivid 1080p display ; Decent battery life

Pricey for a Chromebook ; Speakers distort at max volume ; Stylus sold separately

With an elegant, portable design and fast performance, Asus' Chromebook Flip C436 is a great buy despite its lofty price.
