A well-designed Chromebook – but it will cost you
Slick design ; Crisp, colourful screen ; Reliable performance
Quite pricey for a Chromebook ; Limited connectivity ; Rubbish speakers
A highly portable and well-designed Chromebook, although the Flip C302 is more expensive than most of its rivals, Pixelbook aside.

The premium Chromebook is finally affordable
Elegant tablet mode ; Gorgeous, vivid screen ; Tactile keyboard
Middling speakers
The Asus Chromebook Flip C302 is worthy of its premium stature with a gorgeous screen, tactile keyboard and a classy design that’s equally as comfortable to use in tablet mode or as a traditional laptop.

The Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is a Chromebook that feels like a £1000 laptop in many respects. Its all-metal case and low weight make it a good
High-quality screen ; More powerful than most Chromebooks ; Attractive aluminium build
Plastic trackpad ; Slightly weak speakers ; A lot to spend on a Chromebook ; Google Play buggy (in beta)
The Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is a Chromebook that feels like a £1000 laptop in many respects. Its all-metal case and low weight make it a good choice for those tempted by a MacBook or Windows machine for work while travelling, who just don't have...

Remember the now-discontinued 11-inch MacBook Air ? The Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is like a cheaper version of it that you can actually buy.
The Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA has a 360-degree hinge, a backlit keyboard, two USB-C ports, a sharp display and a posh all-aluminum build. Supports Google Play Android apps.
The USB-C ports don't support Thunderbolt 3.
With a hybrid hinge, touchscreen and support for Google Play apps, the Asus Chromebook Flip is a small Chromebook offering big value.

Asus has a solid track record with Chromebooks, but can the company continue that trend with its new £500 model? We take a look at the C302CA Flip.

The Asus Chromebook C302ca is a 2-in-1 convertible Chromebook with a 12.5in screen. It isn't Asus's first convertible Chromebook, but where the old Chromebook Flip C100PA was a budget option with a 10-inch screen, the new model is a premium Chromebook...

The ASUS Chromebook Flip C302 does just about everything right -- battery, screen, keyboard and performance are all good to excellent. For less than $500, this is probably the best Chromebook on the market right now.
Comfortable keyboard and trackpad ; Good display ; Strong performance ; Thin, light and attractive design
Battery life could be better ; Android app compatibility is still in beta and could use a little work

Asus' versatile Flip C302C is a great Chromebook, and a solid 2-in-1.

The Asus C302CA is an advanced Chromebook with a 360-degree hinge, great display and battery life, and Android support.
Beautiful 1920x1080 display with 178-degree viewing angles ; Long 10-hour battery life ; Surprisingly good keyboard ; 360-degree hinge gives clamshell-to-tablet versatility
Display's middle setting is dark, necessitating high setting for most use

The new baseline for Chrome OS convertibles
Nice build quality ; Fast processor ; Backlit keyboard
Dim screen ; Weak speakers ; Small trackpad
We're not there yet, and so the highest praise I can give Asus is that this fairly innocuous and forgettable computer is innocuous and forgettable in the best ways: it looks good, it works well, and I don't have to worry about it. It's a great baseline...
