The MacBook Air M4 is an easy sell. It's the complete package for most people and one of the very best laptops around.
Lower starting price makes it surprisingly excellent value ; All models have at least 16GB RAM ; Excellent performance ; Fantastic battery life
The screen is starting to show its age ; Small port selection ; More fun colours would be nice
The MacBook Air M4 is an excellent laptop, suitable for most users. It offers a good balance of performance and price, and is one of Apple’s products that offers exceptional value. While not compelling for those with M2 or M3 models, it's a worthwhile...

The latest MacBook Air is fast, lightweight, and comes in a very appealing new colour too
Super-fast M4 chip, Impressive battery life, New 12MP Centre Stage camera, New Sky Blue colour choice looks lovely
Not a huge change from M3 model, The large notch might not suit everyone
The MacBook Air M4 offers both power and portability unlike anything else in the market. Not only is this laptop both thin and light, but the use of the M4 chip makes it one of the fastest consumer machines out there. Little has changed from the M3...

The 2025 15-inch MacBook Air looks almost identical to the 2024 incarnation of Apple's lighter laptop. But inside, the newer model is powered by the M4 processor with 16GB of Ram, along with other smaller enhancements. So, what's its screen quality...

We're getting antsy for a more significant redesign, but the MacBook Air 15-inch remains Apple's best value in a big-screen laptop, thanks to a lower starting price, kicked-up CPU performance, and a boost in the base model's memory capacity.

Apple's 15-inch MacBook has a more powerful chip, a new blue color, and a lower price.
Supports two external monitors without closing the lid. $100 cheaper than before. Higher-resolution, 12-MP webcam. The M4 makes it even more powerful. World-class speakers, keyboard, trackpad, and portability.
Apple charges a ton for extra storage. Charging ports are all on one side.

With Intel laptops hot on its tail, the second-generation 15-inch MacBook Air is all about its M3 processor update. It hits new performance highs while maintaining a winning design.

The 15-inch MacBook Air M4 could be the Goldilocks zone, a perfect size.
$100 cheaper than its predecessor, Strong performance, Over 15 hours of battery life, Bright Liquid Retina display, Class-leading webcam
Limited ports, Upgrades can get expensive
The Apple MacBook Air 15-inch M4 may look like its predecessor, but a powerful new chip, an excellent new webcam, and a lower price make it a worthy upgrade.

SlashGear Reviews the 2025 Apple MacBook Air M4, including information on price, specifications, performance, and features.
Handsome looks, served best in blue ; M4 silicon punches above its weight class ; Astonishingly good battery efficiency ; Double the RAM, for the same price ; Upgraded webcam makes a difference ; Lovely keyboard and trackpad
The port situation is pretty limiting ; Lovely screen, marred by reflections ; Apple Intelligence is a needless load ; It's time for a faster charging brick ; Upgraded configurations are still pretty expensive ; Surface coat on the lid smudges fast

Notebookcheck has tested the brand-new Apple MacBook Air 15 with the M4 SoC and 16 GB RAM. Even with the new M4 processor, the MacBook Air 15 is still a very good overall package for everyday use, and its high CPU performance in combination with its...
high-quality and slim case;super fast M4 SoC;good input devices;permanently silent operation;bright display with P3 coverage and without PWM;great speakers;long battery runtimes at 150 nits;improved 12-MP webcam
no Wi-Fi 7 or 120 Hz;only 2x USB-C & no card reader;power supply is too weak (35 watts);no maintenance options & expensive upgrades
Even with the new M4 processor, the MacBook Air 15 is still a very good overall package for everyday use, and its high CPU performance in combination with its passive cooling is particularly impressive. Even under constant load, the processor is still...

Apple's MacBook Air M4 is quite possibly the perfect laptop for regular and lighter use, but what if you need some extra oomph? This is where the MacBook Pro steps in with loads of extra performance, more I/O ports, a larger battery, and a better screen.
