Alienware M14x

A 14.1in gaming laptop that has it all; stunning design, more lights than you can shake a stick at, great ergonomics, and oodles of power under the hood.

Beautiful design in red or black, Individually controllable light zones, Lovely soft-touch finish and excellent build, Good screen, impressive speakers, Lots of configuration flexibility

Noisy under load, Expensive, Relatively underpowered graphics, No Blu-ray drive option

Alienware 14 review

A hefty slice of gaming goodness

1080p screen ; Good processor choice ; Strong graphics ; 16GB of RAM ; Blu-ray drive

No SSD ; Heavy

This gaming laptop packs a wallop with Haswell and Nvidia GTX chips powering a 1080p panel. Portable PC gaming doesn't much better than this. Performance and power are the real raison d'être here: serious specs that can be taken from one location to...

Alienware 14 review

The Alienware brand dominates gaming laptops, but the latest addition to Dell's range isn't the huge, brash notebook you'd expect – it's got a 14in screen, and it looks fantastic. See: The 7 best gaming laptops of 2013.

Alienware's designers have done a great job tempering the excesses of traditional gaming laptops with good looks and matte aluminium, and the Alienware 14 doesn't just look great – it shifts, too. The quad-core processors puts paid to applications, and...

Dell Alienware 14 review

We see if Dell's latest gaming notebook is a supercharged ultrabook beater

Plenty of processing power, lots of gaming ability, a great looking chassis, a high quality HD 1080p screen, quick boot times and a high quality keyboard

The screen isn't a touchscreen, its matte layer is grainy, and there's no Blu-ray drive

The Alienware 14 isn't subtle. Its bold, good-looking design and hefty measurements mean that this notebook will be noticed, whether it's glowing on a desk or weighing down a bag. It has average battery life, along with plenty of heat and noise.

Alienware 14 Review

The Alienware 14 is a compact and powerful laptop, but is it worth your hard-earned pennies?

The world of gaming laptops is hugely competitive, so Dell’s designers should be commended for making the Alienware 14 stand out: its matte metal chassis looks and feels fantastic, and the lights across its surfaces look good without becoming garish....

Alienware 14

If you're after a small yet serious gaming laptop which you won't want to take too far then this may very well be a serious contender. The Alienware 14 is a serious gaming laptop with a sub-par battery life but otherwise an excellent all-round gaming...

Seriously fast, Great range of options including 1080p IPS screen, Great build quality

Heavy and thick design, Battery life is not great

Alienware 14 gaming notebook (4th gen Core)

Get your game on with this beautiful 14in Alienware lappy

Sturdy construction ; Excellent performance ; Lovely lighting system

Its optical drive made some startling noises ; Graphics switching is a little cumbersome

The Alienware 14 supplies plenty of speed in a relatively small frame. It's mainly aimed at gamers, but even professionals who want a fast laptop should consider it.

Alienware 14 and 17 review: Dell's new gaming laptops are fast, powerful and well-lit

Alienware's 2013 laptop refresh provides a great experience with few sacrifices. Battery life may not be best in class, but that won't stop you from enjoying the company's latest gaming rigs.

Superb gaming performance ; Great keyboard and trackpad ; Excellent build quality ; Attractive new design

Relatively short battery life ; GPU switching can be finicky

Surprise: Dell's legacy as an OEM and Alienware's gaming cred still make for an awesome combination -- both the Alienware 14 and 17 rank among the best gaming laptops we've reviewed this year. Excellent build quality, killer components and excellent...

Gaming in a semiportable package with the Alienware 14

No complaints about the performance, but the design changes don't go nearly far enough.

Dell's new ; offers great performance, competitive prices, and quirky features such as a backlit touch pad.

The new design still feels dated, and it's as thick as a few slim laptops stacked together. The fan is insanely loud.

Dell has revamped its gaming line, including the new Alienware 14. The design changes don't go nearly far enough, but no complaints about the performance.

Alienware 14 review

"There's a thousand thin notebooks out there. If you want one, there's plenty of options," says Alienware's Frank Azor. Here at E3, the company's announcing the first new industrial design for its...

Fantastically fast for a 14-incher ; Killer optional 1080p IPS screen ; Great build quality

Thick slab-like design ; Sub-par battery life ; Software quirks

Alienware knows its audience well... but is this possible in a thinner shell?
