Today I will be reviewing Tesoro's Excalibur Spectrum. The Excalibur is Tesoro's newest mechanical keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are quite a bit more expensive then your ordinary membrane keyboards. So if you have been thinking of upgrading to a...
Well built chassis ; 60 million clicks ; Mechanical ; Price ; Full N-key Rollover ; Gold plated USB plug ; Braided cable ; Plug and Play ; Professional Design
No Wrist rest ; No USB pass through ; Downloading software ; Software is only used for single device
In conclusion, I really loved using the Excalibur for my everyday use. The Excalibur works with out any software. All I had to do was plug it in and windows found the right driver. However, with out the software you are unable to adjust the RGB lights,...

The big thing that separates this keyboard from the original is that it makes use of new optical switches. Designed in conjunction with Gateron the Tesoro
– New optical switch technology ; – Switches mimick the feel and feedback of mechanical keys ; – Solid build quality ; – Completely plug and play
– No programming software included ; – Could be a little taller
I have been using the Tesoro Excalibur SE Spectrum for a few weeks now and I really like it. It is extremely comfortable and I love the blue key switches. I also like knowing that all of my keystrokes are being properly recorded with precision. That is...

As of this week, I have officially been writing for APH Networks for two years now. I have to say it has been an enjoyable time, and I have learned a lot since my initial article of the FSP Raider 550W. I still remember when I began, I specifically...

The Excalibur Spectrum has a very simple keyboard design, but it jam-packed with features. First you have mechanical key switches (Kailh), you can choose
– Mechanical key switches ; – RGB per-key backlighting ; – Different illumination modes and effects ; – Can easily remap the entire keyboard ; – On-board memory stores all of your settings and macros
– Kailh switches do not feel as good as Cherry MX switches ; – Keyboard does not feel as solid as others we have tested lately
So I have been using the Excalibur Spectrum for about two week now and I really enjoy it. The Kailh Blue switches are great and have to be my favorite type of mechanical switch as they give me the best of both worlds for typing and gaming. I do have to...

Tesoro is a relative newcomer in the United States in the gaming peripheral market, but they're trying to make a splash with a high quality mechanical keyboard for less than $100. How does it rate?
After using the keyboard for normal day-to-day use, as well as playing a handful of FPS games, I came away impressed with the Excalibur. The keyboard was responsive during games and, while I'm far from a competitive gamer, I never felt like the...

A few weeks ago we published a review of the Tesoro Lobera, a high end mechanical gaming keyboard. Something many of us need. Of course there is another set of users who just want a nice, solid board without all the extra buttons, ports and the like....
Starting with the build quality of the Excalibur we have a keyboard which feels very solid. The casing is chunky thick plastic with a matt finish and it is solidly constructed. As is common with many LED lit mechanical boards, the brightness varies on...
