Amazing board, bad lights

LEDs aren't TERRIBLY bright on max, so if you're in a heavily sunlit room you won't see them much Also, White LEDS would also make this keyboard look super bad---. I might mod some in later, but for now I'll just enjoy the soft blue glow. Also, no...

Ergonomic game pad is pretty much the best on the market. The keys are nice and easy to press- non mechanical (i don't like mechanical keys personally) ; Lighting for me didn't work at first but now looks sweet (see cons) Software isn't provided but...

My lights would go from an orangeish to light-pink to red ; The problem? I opened up the board and found that the LED on the bottom of the board by the "jump" button had the red and blue contacts bridged by solder. Would be nicer to see better QC on...

best keyboard for fps

The game keys are perfectly situated for fps gaming. Improved my gaming by leaps and bounds

For such an expensive keyboard you'd think it would be more durable. I got about a year out of mine before the forward key broke off ; Also for anyone with fingernails you'll have to disable the gamepad tab key(?) or else you will be bumped into...

Didn't seem refurbished

This thing is pretty nice, it has a usb ports built into it as well as mic and headphone ports. Currently plugged a laser mouse into one and working great. The box it came in seemed to be slightly faded and not pristine, but the keyboard itself was...

Keyboard is pretty spiffy. A lot of keys and functions. Software was easy to download and install. The 3 illumination choices are a very nice touch and make seeing the keys very easy in dark rooms. Has a gaming pad portion on the leftside with an ideal...

1 egg off for no designated Delete key. Only one I found was on the number pad, useable when number lock is off. I've unfortunately used a lot of Dell keyboards and the placement of keys will need some getting used to. Might not be a problem for some...

Great Gaming KB

I like the gaming keys to the left. They seem to fit my hand well. I also like the lighting levels as I can adjust it on the fly

I never really got into the programming keys. It was more complex than I was anticipating. I'm generally not that techno savvy-- so I just avoid this feature. Still though, I enjoy every aspect of the keyboard outside of this

DOA

SteelSeries customer support is non existent. Also they haven't released any mods for the game keys in a couple of years. If you want to use this for current games you'll be making those yourself.

Layout, LED backlighting

After an hour spent on work arounds to get the software working right, I find out that only the middle row of letter keys works

Best Keyboard Layout by far

I did have 1 issue with the keyboard, at one point I had thought I was sure I narrowed down some system crashes to the keyboard drivers. However I later found this to be false. The drivers didn't cause the crashes but rather the motherboard was causing...

The "Merc" keyboard by steelseries aka Ideazon has simply the best keyboard layout I've ever used. I am a programmer, engineer, and gamer. This board has gone through it all with me and made it smooth and easy. The extention on the left end is a...

The only possible con I can think of, is that the extended portion of the keyboard will not work with generic drivers ; Which really isn't a con
