Not Bad

If you order the keyboard version only. You can't add the remote later. You have to purchase the combo unit that comes with both keyboard & remote.

Great using as a media server

The only problem I have is that the remote loses it's pairing at times. No problems with the keyboard

Bummer

I have never RMA'd any products from Newegg before. I have purchased several items in the past with no problems. I'll see how this replacement RMA goes.

The keyboard and remote were exactly what I was looking for. I was surprised at the quality of the keyboard and remote control unit. The remote feels like a really high end product

The bummer is I could not get the receiver to find either unit. I tried two different PCs one running Vista the other running Windows 7. I tried new batteries and different USB ports, on both systems, to no avail. I'm going to RMA this product for a...

This is PERFECT

would be nice if it had universal remote capabilities (add another device, like TV so I can turn off/on TV w/remote) but I'm not complaining

It's perfect for a media center, mouse is incorporated into the remote, with right & left click button, many vista media center buttons on the remote including my videos, tv, pictures, you name it. I'm very happy with my purchase any you will be too

mouse ball takes some getting used to but once you got it down it's pretty cool. I use my thumb, I found it works best like that

Well Worth it

If your cheap like me, you may be thinking $80 is a bit much but I can't imagine this build without it.

This thing is great. If your making a HTPC it's a must have. The mouse controls on the keyboard are amazing. Perfect for web browsing from the couch

The remote kind of sucks. The button placement is very odd and takes getting used to, but the keyboard more than makes up for it

Great HTPC Combo

This is the same HTPC keyboard as the X-Gene (no longer sold on Newegg) and as the Addesso. Bought this to replace my 2 year old X-Gene KB which got dropped by my 3yr old son one too many times. Given that this is the exact same KB but with a different...

Trigger style left mouse button. Trigger style mouse wheel. Smooth trackball. Good range. Plug and play. Keys offer nice response and springback. Remote is nice added value feature. Remote has rubberized underside giving a nice tactile feel

Trackball on remote is slower than KB and can not be adjusted without effecting the KB trackball. Remote is hotkeyed for Windows Media Center (blech!) and can not create macros for remote

Find another keyboard

For the price paid, you would think it was a nice product. So much for thinking.

The remote works great

The trackball on the keyboard is messed up. I have to press down on the ball as i roll it to get it to properly work

Avoid!

I own no other 2.4GHz devices and these problems persisted in two different apartments I've lived in during the time I've had it. The keyboard is just a pile of garbage.

It's a trackball and keyboard in one device. The left click as the "trigger" on the trackball side is nice

Constantly loses connection and must be paired with the dongle again. Mine finally just gave up re-pairing, and became useless. The keyboard would have constant connection problems. So in typing the words "doesn't work" you might end up with "dest wok"...

Works with Linux!

Not all of the keys on the remote can be mapped to functions in Linux (at least I don't know how to), but a suprising number of them (e.g. volume control) can.

Does not require clear line of sight. Mouse buttons and mouse wheel are in good stategic locations on the keyboard. Worked with my Mint Linux installation without requiring any drivers to be installed

As others have mentioned the trackball on the keyboard works, but is rough. The remote's trackball works better
