Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. TE

The S.T.R.I.K.E. TE is the first mechanical gaming keyboard from Mad Catz, and it's a big improvement over the company's previous keyboards, but there are still a couple of features that fall flat.

Mechanical key switches. Multiple programmable macro keys with easy customization. Backlight with dual-zone lighting.

Crowded macro keys may hinder as much as they help. Asymmetrical design is more style than substance.

Conclusion Compared with the rest of Mad Catz's keyboard line up, the S.T.R.I.K.E. TE is a solid step up in quality, and a good, though not exceptional, first foray into mechanical keyboards. The only problem I have with the keyboard is that, despite...

Mad Catz Strike TE Review

A few months ago we reviewed the Mad Catz R.A.T. TE. As part of the TE range it is designed to offer all the performance we would expect from Mad Catz but with streamlined features… the key things gamers need. Today in our Mad Catz Strike TE Review.

We have to admit that upon opening the S.T.R.I.K.E. TE the first impression was “oh, no… look at that glossy finish… BUT having plugged it in, the finish actually really suits the (high quality) white backlighting used by Mad Catz. Even if it does get...

Busted keys on arrival, unresponsible keys within less than a year.

Worked fine up until it didn't.

I should have known something was up when I received it with a physically busted key. After arguing with someone online for a while I managed to glue the key back together myself and take a discount for my trouble. Fair enough, but I should have been...

Great mechanical keyboard!

Would buy again

Keys feel great, macro buttons are helpful. quick and easy to change brightness in different zones.

The wrist pad is nice for a while but after a few hours of gaming becomes slightly uncomfortable. Still much better than no pad at all though.

Very Satisfied User

This is a solid keyboard that stays put. I bought it because I was told a mechanical keyboard would be a good choice for arthritic hands, and it has proven to be so. The fact that it's a gaming keyboard was just sort of an added bonus. Performance...

The Windows key lock is my favorite feature! Generally great performance especially as a lower priced mechanical keyboard. Detachable wrist rest is helpful for my arthritis. Keys are responsive with decent tactile feedback. Programmable macro keys...

The backlit display options aren't much (not a big deal but they only come in flavors of white). Tactile feedback could be better but for the price I can't really complain. Wrist rest doesn't snap on securely so it's prone to fall off when you move the...

Very Basic but Mechanical

Not a bad keyboard, very basic without much customization, but mechanical for well under $100. This key board has a lot of potential if they just added a few more features. I listed the Back Lighting as bot a Pro and Con...It is nice and even and makes...

Comfortable, Sensitive Keys, Nice Space Bar, Back lighting, Responsive, Durable

Back lighting, High Profile, Smaller Keys, Very Limited Software, Few Customizeable Keys, Difficult for normal typing
