A truly excellent gaming keyboard
Excellent build quality ; Great for gaming and typing ; Lighting reacts to game events
Very expensive ; No dedicated media keys ; Function labels can be hard to read
Logitech has created a truly excellent gaming keyboard.

Silent and deadly
Romer-G Linear superior to Cherry MX Red ; Plush palm rest included ; RGB lighting is brilliant
Pricier than last year’s ; USB pass-through still USB 2.0 ; No dedicated media shortcuts
The Logitech G513 isn’t a direct sequel to the incredibly affordable Logitech G413, but rather a mid-range keyboard with the best linear key switch.

We've already put the Logitech G513 with the Romer-G switches through its paces, so will the G513 with GX Blue switches be just as good?

£159.00 isn't a small sum for a keyboard but when you demand the best, there's a pricetag to go along with that. Does the Logitech G513 tick all of your boxes? Read on to find out....

Logitech's G513 is more than an attractive, professional-looking keyboard. It's also the debut of the new Romer-G Linear switch, a faux-Cherry MX Red that finally gives Logitech lovers some options.
New Romer-G Linear switch is satisfying and precise ; Clean and professional look ; Comfortable pack-in wrist rest
No dedicated media keys ; A bit of a "ping" noise while using the keyboard ; Romer-G Linear switch limited to the G513—for now
Would I reach for a Romer-G keyboard first? Probably not. Romer-G Linear hasn’t suddenly leapfrogged to the top of my charts. But it’s a damn good step for Logitech. I’ve spent four years praising Logitech’s keyboard designs (except the short-lived...

Though it cries out for media/macro keys, the minimalist Logitech G513 Carbon gaming keyboard justifies its price with custom, RGB-lit mechanical switches that feel great and won't wake up your household.
Choice of Linear and Tactile switch types. Comfortable and quiet for typing and gaming. Slick design. Roomy palm rest. Per-key RGB lighting.
Software takes patience to learn. No dedicated macro or media keys. Subdued RGB illumination.
Bottom Line: Though it cries out for media/macro keys, the minimalist Logitech G513 Carbon gaming keyboard justifies its price with custom, RGB-lit mechanical switches that feel great and won't wake up your household.

If you're looking for an RGB mechanical keyboard, there are plenty out there to choose from. Many gaming keyboards these days have started using mechanical switches instead of membrane ones, and while most of those seem to use some kind of Cherry MX...
Sturdy construction and great design ; Logitech Gaming Software unlocks a lot of potential ; Feels great to type on; Romer-G Linear switches are excellent for typists
Price tag will be too high for some people ; Not enough new features to justify upgrading from G413

When you get right down to it, the G513 is a relatively simple keyboard. True, it introduces a new type of key switch, and it has RGB lighting, which jacks up the price a bit. Other than that, it's just well-built and responsive, without any big...
Sleek metal chassis ; Great performance ; Both linear and tactile keys feel good ; Comfortable wrist rest
No discrete media keys ; Can't reprogram every key
The G513 represents another strong effort from Logitech's gaming branch, with the successful introduction of a linear key switch.

Sounds nice
Make it in different colours

Looks great, well made. Switches feel solid. Great price. Wrist rest is nice addition. Snall keyboard frame provide minimalist design feel which I like
Can't easily see caps lock light indicator from my seating position. The caps lock key itself could change colour to more easily tell if it's on or off. Wrist rest could be magnetic
