Ed's favourite keyboard gets an update but has it been worth the wait?
The cables for the audio pass-through on the original Aurora were very thin.

A gaming delight in brushed aluminium
Scissor-switch keys
No media keys
A good gaming board, despite its slightly inflated price

This is the very Cylon Interceptor of keyboards. With the main body constructed of gert lush brushed alu (the keys are plastic) this board could decapitate a man at 20 paces, and he wouldn't even notice
Slick, Easy to use, Good recording quality, Truly stunning HD pictures, Excellent black levels, Scissor-switch keys
Lacks features and RGB from second Scart, Bit expensive, No built-in tuner, Speakers cost extra, No media keys
A good gaming board, despite its slightly inflated price

Fifty quid and upwards is a major outlay for a keyboard. For that sort of money you'll be expecting a pretty serious feature set: media-centre functions, wireless, the lot.
The Aurora from Enermax is attractive, well-built and a joy to use. It's quite a bit of money to be shelling out for a mere keyboard, but we think you'll get your money's worth.

Today we are going to take a look at the Enermax Aurora Wireless Keyboard which incorporates a laser trackball and mouse keys into the bezel of the unit. This makes it ideal for use with home theatre computers or in other applications where a dedicated...
Solid build quality ; Very good looking ; Great value ; Innovative trackball
Substandard keyboard
KitGuru says: The Aurora offers good value for money and is significantly cheaper than many wireless multimedia keyboards. The keys are low quality however.

Is any USB 2.0 PC keyboard worth £60? It's tempting to shout out an unequivocal: 'no', but the updated Enermax Aurora Premium may change a few minds.
It's hardly bursting with features, but the Enermax Aurora Premium is comfortable to use, stylish to look at and feels built to last. If that is worth £60 of your money, the Aurora will be a good purchase. Lend us a tenner?
Expert review by : Jeremy Atkinson (pcmag.com)
The Enermax Aurora Premium has fewer features than the Enermax Caesar KB005U, but with the same brushed-aluminum body (although not the metal-mesh surround) it still looks stylish.
Attractive design. Good tactile feedback. Has USB, audio ports.
A bit pricy. Keyboard audio disables PC-attached speakers. No real wrist pad. No hotkeys.

Overall, the Aurora is a great little HTPC keyboard. While typing on the Aurora, it was very responsive to our key strokes. We did not notice any lag or stuttering while using it to type this review or while we commanded our HTPC. The size of the...

So I've got my HTPC setup with awireless mouse, EFOWireless Handheld Keyboard and even theGlideTV, but I'm using a corded keyboard which makes like a bit hardwhen it comes to distancing myself from the PC. Sure the little EFOkeyboard is nice and all,...
Very well made ; Easy to use, plug and play ; Small and portable ; Nice to type on ; Excellent tracking with lasertrackball ; Adjustable DPI settings
No Back/Forward buttons
The Enermax Aurora is a greatkeyboard truly. The built-in laser trackball is a must if you have anHTPC and the one in the Aurora works perfectly. The addition of thefunction and multi-media buttons do add value and usefulness as well.
