Corsair K60 RGB Pro Low Profile Review: Lower Profile, Higher Price

Does the K60 RGB Pro Low Profile earn the higher price tag over its non-low profile cousin?

Cherry MX switches ; Comfortable ; Quiet

No dedicated media buttons ; Cheap plastic construction in certain places

The Corsair K60 RGB Pro Low Profile is a reasonably priced quiet typer, but it’s feature-light, and its low profile input method isn’t for everyone.

Corsair K60 RGB Pro Review: Back to Basics

A simple, but sturdy, mechanical gaming keyboard at a decent price

Brushed aluminum top plate ; Colorful and bright RGB ; Rugged USB connector ; Solid software

Chunky, white mechanical switch sockets ; Keycaps can feel slimy ; No onboard memory for customized profiles/macros

The K60 RGB Pro is decently priced for a Corsair mechanical gaming keyboard and even includes a sturdy aluminum top plate. But it lacks additional features, and its budget Cherry Viola switches visibly distract from the design.

CORSAIR K60 RGB PRO (CHERRY VIOLA Switch) Review

With an all new switch from CHERRY and streamlined selection of features, can the rebooted K60 satisfy value-oriented markets?

+ Attractive looks for home or office + Excellent software lighting customisation + New CHERRY VIOLA switches + Full anti-ghosting/NKRO + Impressive software with integration of other iCUE devices + Available with additional switch and keycap types

- Shared media keys - Limited on-board profile support - Variable regional pricing; relatively expensive in UK/EU - Lighting has a slight blue hue

CORSAIR are currently a mighty presence towards the highest end of the mainstream mechanical keyboard market, having cultivated a distinctive premium looks and feature set that has migrated down to their membrane models over time. The K60 isn’t their...

Corsair K60 RGB Pro keyboard review

With the K60 RGB Pro, Corsair brings you premium features at a budget price

Great built quality ; Slim, attractive design ; Gorgeous per-key RGB lighting ; Affordable price ; Useful software

Cherry Viola switches aren't quite MX ; No onboard storage for custom macros ; No volume wheel or macro keys

The Corsair K60 RGB Pro is a great gaming keyboard with genuine mechanical switches and per-key RGB lighting at a low price point — but the new Cherry Viola switches aren't for everyone.

Review: Corsair's K60 RGB Pro Low Profile is a dream to type and game on

Corsair has a slightly more affordable low-profile mechanical keyboard than its K70 and it's the K60 RGB Pro Low Profile. This keyboard comes rocking Cherry MX Low Profile Speed switches, as well as some neat design elements and features that make it a...

Low-profile Cherry switch ; Excellent for gaming and typing ; Quick and relatively quiet ; Good RGB lighting effects

No onboard profile storage ; Non-detachable USB-A cable ; No dedicated gaming keys

Bottom line: Corsair's K60 range of mechanical keyboards are meant to be affordable, and this low-profile edition is perfect for those who need to type up thousands of words when not smashing skulls in DOOM. It's just a shame it doesn't have onboard...

CORSAIR K60 RGB PRO Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Very comfortable keyboard and looks really cool!

Just the price, doesn't feel like a 3 digit priced keyboard

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Great gaming KB, but started having issues after about a year.

If you're like me and only get about a year or two out of a gaming keyboard, then this one will do dandy. In the end, this model is actually a bit more durable and reliable than most.

Mechanical keys that feel very substantial and durable. Adjustable key backlighting, 18 macro keys with memory configurations, and onboard media buttons make this a gamer's dream

After about one year (of heavy use mind you) a few of the keys started double and triple tapping on single key presses, and a couple keys would not press until pressed several times. Noticed the worst of it in the number pad. Typically I would deduct...
