There's always been a great focus on the high-end peripherals from manufacturers. But, the new Corsair K55 Core has a budget focus.
Vibrant, diffused lighting ; Good price
Inconsistent key feel ; Slow rubber dome switches
At just £40, the Corsair K55 Core offers a good enough typing experience at a price that’s easy to justify. You can get a more unique feel with off-brand offerings, but its soft RGB lighting is delightful.

The Corsair K55 RGB Pro is one of the entry-level keyboards in Corsair's collection, but don't assume the budget nature means Corsair has skimped on features. The most notable feature is the inclusion of six dedicated macro keys dotted along the left...
6 macro keys iCUE software for Windows Textured wrist rest
Membrane keyboard 5-zone RGB lighting
If you can get over the lack of mechanical switches, the Corsair K55 RGB Pro is one of the most feature-packed budget gaming keyboards you can get your hands on right now.

Great for productivity, not so much for gaming
Dedicated macro keys ; Detachable wrist rest ; Good for typing ; Easy-to-use software ; Cheap
Keycaps are fingerprint magnets ; Subpar build quality ; Middling gaming performance ; Large desk footprint
With dedicated macro keys, a detachable wrist rest and easy-to-use software, the Corsair K55 RGB Pro is a good membrane keyboard for typing. It also costs just $59. However, all of its goodness is overshadowed by middling gaming performance, keycaps...

Corsair has got your back with their new K55 Core RGB Gaming Keyboard! This keyboard comes in at a very modest $39.99, which is not going to break the bank. This full-size keyboard features 10-zone RGB backlighting, convenient multimedia controls,...

The K70 RGB TKL uses the tenkeyless format, which we already saw in some other Corsair keyboards. But the implementation here is really good, and the media keys, etc. don't make it any less appealing, but actually much more practical. The LED lighting...
The quality is really great, and the keyboard is rigid thanks to the aluminium frame (and very stable with those rubbery feet), while iCUE works really well (there’s been a re-design recently) and allows synchronization with other Corsair stuff, as...

The Corsair K55 RGB gaming keyboard is one of the more affordable big-brand, dedicated gaming keyboards that you can buy right now – this device will only set you back $50 in the US and £40 in the UK .
Loads of features Very affordable High-quality membrane keys
Not as fast as mechanical switches Middling built quality Eight-key rollover
Our Corsair K55 RGB review illustrates that this is a deeply impressive bit of kit. When it comes to its typing action, it’s one of the best membrane options around: fast, consistent and comfortable, with a robust and reliable action.

Barely paid anything for, wgat feels like, a really expensive keyboard. Links to my streaming gear easily as well.
Consumer review (currys.co.uk)
Great quality keyboard, well built, responsive, great customisation options.
Consumer review (currys.co.uk)
One of the best at this price point if you’re looking for an RGB Keyboard, that functionally works like a mechanical. Not everyone is looking to get a mechanical so it’s great for that.
Some keys could be a little more responsive. The shift key sometimes isn’t as snappy as I’d hope.

Backspace sounds like a machine gun
