Philips PerfectCare Silence GC9550 review

  (Rating Hidden)

Philips claims the PerfectCare Silence GC9550 steam generator iron offers 'powerful ironing with low sound', so it could be ideal if you usually iron while watching TV. But is it still powerful enough to banish deep creases? Our full steam generator...

Not so good!

We bought ours in April this year and it suddenly dropped all the water out last week! We bought it off the Phillips rep in John Lewis and though we live in a very hard water area we were told just to use tap water!JL have sent it away for repair and...

Very expensive. Very quiet. Boost not very good. Good on thin fabrics but doubled over quilt covers its rubbish. Lucky it comes with 60 day money back guarantee because its going back asap.

An excellent iron. It is quieter than previous Tefal express. So far so good

Had it for about 1 month. My wife gets on very well with it. Her previous Tefal Express used to leave brown stains on clothes - at fairly random times, and was difficult to decalc. So far - she is very happy with this one, and decalc looks easy.No...

impractical

  (Rating Hidden)

Totally impractical because of cord length 1.7 metres. That means it is not as long as a large ironing board. tthe actual length for use is less than a metre once plugged into a socket.

terrible buy

  (Rating Hidden)

I purchased this iron in June 2013. I have had to return it 3 times. It does not steam and the calc light is always on. I live in a soft water area so should not have this problem. Customer care will not give me a refund or replace this product....
