Philips GC4420

Very smooth ironing. Heats up quickly. Stylish design.

Could be easier to fill. Not easy to see the water level in the iron.

Good Quality

This is a good iron that I use mainly for business shirts. The feature I love the most is the steam tip, which is fantastic when you want to iron in those hard to reach areas, especially good for little items like baby clothes. The steam hit is...

Steam tip is the best

After about an hour or so of ironing, it start to leak quite a bit of water through the steam vents.

Fantastic steam, good and solid feel

We love this iron! we have had it for 2 years. Before this one we had another brand which we returned to the shop 3 times because of faults it is very solid and has fantastic steam...which we use for my husbands business shirts and my sons school...

Good

I thought I might have difficulty adjusting to the larger size/weight of this iron (only had smaller, lighter Sunbeams) but with my usual 2-hours straight ironing sessions, I have adjusted and now enjoy this task.

IT WORKS and does what an iron is meant to do!! Efficient steam system ensures easy ironing of all fabrics and its overall streamline design (and even purple colour) is outstanding. The turning dial for heat adjustment is much easier to use than the...

Lucky it doesn't run on premium fuel as it requires lots of refilling even with the steam setting at its lowest point. Rather oversized and weighty (for "little ladies" anyway).

Excellent

It is a great iron for the price. I upgraded from GC3115 2 years back and have been using this almost on a daily basis without any issues. Just the item to buy for people who like o iron themselves and is not very heavily priced either.

The steam pressure is great. Be it your formals or hard and stubborn jeans this piece would flatten all of them without any hassles. The variable 6 steam levels with the added feature of steam shots makes it more versatile and easy to use. It saves a...

Colour available is purple only. Higher levels of steam are very thirsty and would last probably for about 8-10 pairs of jeans depending on how you use it

Excellent

Overall I am extermely happy with the purchase. I almost enjoyed ironing as it was so easy. I was debating purchasing the top iron with the Ionic Steam function which was $50 more expensive but this model irons so well I don't think it would have been...

It irons beautifully. I mostly iron cotton business shirts and it gets through those with ease (even those that were washed a while ago). It produces lots ot steam and the bases glides easily over the fabric.

It is a bit heavy, gets through quite a bit of water (as it would prducing all that steam) and the steam production makes quite a bit of noise.

Good

I chose this iron over the top-of-the-line model which came with an ionic steam thing for an extra $40 I think. It works well in getting creases out and I mostly use it for ironing business shirts. It works best when the clothes are a bit damp. When I...

Works like an iron should, looks nice, good steam operation, light indicator when heating up, gets to full temperature fairly quickly.

Heavy, big, thirsty
