Unreliable model! Need a new iron...help?

I've had the G2 model since Dec 2006 and I've had a number of problems with this iron. Actually the first thing to fall apart was the ironing board, the side where the iron sits on just fell off - with the iron on it! Laurastar replaced with a new...

Can iron most garments on one side only (saving time on ironing), iron over prints (using the soleplate provided) and steam delicate garments - when it's working.

High maintenance, constantly breaks down even when you look after it. Expensive to repair.

Why did I invest in this?

I bought this iron after friends told me of their joy with their Laurastar...unfortunately I must have got the dud! I bought an ex demo about 5 years ago, I used it for about a year or so and then got fed up with it and shoved it in the cupboard never...

A total Disappointment. Too many trips into Laurastar for repair.

I bought this to replace my old Laurastar which was a very good iron. Unfortunately the same can't be said for this one. So far I've had replaced the oring filler 3 times (it broke the 4th time again after 2 weeks and Laurastar have admitted there is a...

Irons very well, Much easier and more enjoyable that a conventional iron.

Love my Laurastar and would never buy any other brand!

I've had my Laurastar now for over a year and I would never think about buying another brand. My time ironing has transformed from a headache to a pleasure. The iron glides effortlessly over my clothes with the perfect amount of steam. At first I was...

So disappointed

Bought an 'ex-demo' model. Breaks down every 12 months, was initially fixed under warranty but have had major problems and costs annually. The most expensive iron I have every bought, I must have outlaid double its original cost in repairs.

Irons beautifully when it works

Expensive, breaks down regularly.

Great whilst it works.

Bought the iron upon recommendation from a friend, whom had the previous type. Worked well for almost a year then broke. Got repaired under warranty then 3 months later broke again with the same problem. Repaired at own substantial cost, and have done...

Irons clothes better than anything I've ever used.

Bought Laura Star with the removable tank - it failed whilst under warranty. Within 12 months it failed again with the same apparent problem.Thought we had a dud, so stupidly bought another unit. Within 3 months of getting it it failed with the same...
