"Rolls Royce" Iron !!

Note: First, I would like to say that it seems like this model has been replaced by model DX8906. I think that Rowenta just changed the model number, but didn't do any revisions to the item.

Very Steamed!!!

This Rowenta does iron like a dream and produces tons of steam--for only 3 months. I purchased this iron on January 27, 2009 and I had to replace it today, April 26, 2009!

Largest water reservoir; Huge amounts of steam; Glides over fabrics getting toughest

Leaks water and spits after 3 months. Not worth the price

Be forwarned

This is my second - and last - Rowenta Professional! Because I am a quilter I use my iron constantly and thoroughly enjoyed all of the features including the steam. Unfortunately, this lasted for about 6 months. Then I could get steam only for about a...

Fantastic steamer when it works - even if only a few months

Breaks down quickly and repairs are worthless

Don't Waste Your Money

This is the first and last Rowenta iron I will buy. Mine lasted 2 years w/average use. Now, after 10 seconds of use, the auto shut-off engages. The only way to reset the auto shut off is to unplug it and plug it back in. Of course, you're are doing...

Steam is superior, unmatched to any other iron

Unreliable, auto shut off stinks

Steams like a dream!

Not only do I need a good iron for ironing my clothes, but I also do a lot of sewing which requires me to iron extensively. I had an old cheapy iron for years and years because I just could never justify spending the $100 on the Rowenta that I really ...

Vertical steaming, anti-drip, glides over fabric, uses tap water

Pricey, heavy, some people who sew might not like auto shut-off feature

Big bucks, short lifespan!

I bought a Rowenta because I thought it was The Best. Well, it was fine for about two years of MINIMUM use. Then, one day...poof! Its automatic shutoff has shut off for good. Now what? Send it off for repairs? With the amount of time I spend ironing...

When it worked, it did a good job. Good steam and plenty of it

Automatic shut off will no longer turn on

second bad one I've owned

This is the second rowenta iron I have had. Like the first one, the automatic shut off stinks. It keeps turning itself off and won't come back on. I must unplug it and let it cool off. I cannot get thru one pair of pants before this happens. It is 2...

One Hundred Dollars for Two Years of Service!

I was so excited about how well this iron worked until, ALMOST two years later, it wouldn't work. I'm sorry, for the price, I should get much more use than that. I just bought a $30 Black and Decker with a $20 rebate to use until I can get this Rowenta...

Great job when it works

Quality of the appliance itself is poor
