Not half bad, great deal

Good buy for a college student with a small room, like me.

I would rate this sound system as a great buy. I put's out some pretty good sound, and with a bit of tweaking the bass is pretty good. It was fairly simple to set up too. Great price too

Can't think of any. May not be an audiophile's dream though

Great sound! Great price!

I can't seem to get it to handle 192 kHz. Oh well. Not like 92 isn't high enough. All said and done, I would definitely recommend this to a friend if I knew they had enough patience to mess around with it a little bit to set it up.

Great stereo system. One of the cheaper ones out there. It seems like it has a million options at first until you get the hang of it. Came with all the accessories.

I now see what everybody else is talking about. The remote is too small for the amount of features that are packed into it. It also takes a good bit of tweaking to get it to sound right. Not really a big deal. You learn to live with it.

Nice...

For $200 you cannot ask for anything more in a 5.1 system. If you do you are just plain crazy. This deal is amazing for anyone on a budget, and the sound that comes from the system is very nice. Just be aware since you aren't spending 2g's do not...

Good if you're on a budget

DO NOT buy this system if you can afford something better. The little bit of money you spend now will show in the performance. I live in a tiny bedroom with many other housemates, so this system will serve me fine, but if you can upgrade, by all means...

I bought it on sale, so it was right in my price range. Quite configurable, and handles the codecs I wanted. Front audio input is nice for MP3 player use. The speakers are compact enough to hang from my dryrock walls with no anchors (though I don't...

Sound is just adequate. The included speaker cable is poor quality. The subwoofer is just too weak ; even when I turn the sub volume way up, the active subwoofer that came with my $70 Logitech PC speakers blow this one out of the water. Doesn't have...

Passable if You're on a Shoestring Budget

For a few dollars more I could have put together a really nice mid-range system with far greater connectivity and sound, by purchasing the components individually and potentially waiting for a future date to add the rear satellites. I was hoping for...

Pioneer name and build quality Speaker design is simple and understated. The front and rear satellite speakers are unobtrusive solid little black cubes which exhibit clear and impressive sound quality, especially given their diminutive size. Arrived...

Included speaker wire is garbage. I needed to replace the wire to the sub-woofer immediately, as it was defective out of the box. Center channel is weak, from which the sound that emanates is passable at best, and more than occasionally faint and...

Great, when it works

Sounds good, nice speakers. Great unit for the cost.

Broke after 2 days of use. Had to take it to a Pioneer service center to have it repaired, repairs will take two weeks.

Worth Every Penny

Wires are white...not a fan.

Great value. Perfect for medium rooms. Excellent and intuative presets. The sound retriever feature cleans up and enhances analog inputs like the front AUX connection.

Manual is skimpy considering the # of settings. You definitely need to sit down and configure each setting, right down to the levels on each speaker, for each input to get the most power/desired sound quality out of your system. You'll be disappointed...
