Can LG's flagship Dolby Atmos soundbar justify its lofty price tag...

Expansive, immersive sound ; Clear dialogue ; Good detail in mids and highs ; Atmos speakers work well

Dynamics aren’t as strong as class-leaders ; Bass lacks solidity and drive ; Can’t fully decode DTS-HD Master Audio soundtracks

If you can accommodate its size, the SK10Y is a premium Dolby Atmos soundbar that’s well worth an audition

The LG SK10Y is a big but stylish soundbar that delivers an equally big soundstage with Dolby Atmos, but suffers from being rather front-heavy.

Huge Atmos sound bar reaches for the sky, almost makes it

 

The LG SK10Y offers an enveloping sound from a single bar and subwoofer, but falls short of competitors.

The LG SK10Y offers exciting Atmos capability and excellent home theater-oriented sonics. The bar includes a number of useful features including Chromecast built-in and HDMI switching with 4K HDR compatibility.

The sound bar doesn't offer DTS:X capability. The sound isn't very musical, and the subwoofer doesn't blend as well as some. The main speaker is very large and may not fit on a regular TV stand.

The LG SK10Y offers an enveloping Atmos sound from a single bar and subwoofer, but competitors from Sony and Samsung sound better.

Big sound, careful with settings

 

Sound is loud, lots of features and the surround works well. If you get the settings wrong though it can sound awful. The WiFi doesn't work and requires a stupid app for good features. But wired works fine. There is audio lag on Atmos sound via Xbox...

SK10Y Fantastic sound bar

 

I upgraded from the LG SK8 as I wanted wireless rear speakers and LG don't have any compatible for the UK market. So glad I did, the SK10Y is so much better. Great sound, more functionality and rear speakers make Dolby Atmos fantastic. Great service...
