Budget true wireless earbuds that bring soul with the Emotion

Small and comfortable ; Decent sound quality ; Great price

Not for Android users ; Connection dropouts ; Neither water- nor sweat-resistant

Soul Electronics aims to give people a break with their wallets with the affordable Emotion earbuds, except paying less does come with a catch.

Soul Electronics Emotion review: Wireless earbuds with value

The Soul Electronics Emotion wireless earbuds aren't perfect. But when the price is just $50, it's easier to look past the negative and enjoy the well-balanced sound.

Well-balanced sound ; Bass isn't overmixed ; Easy Bluetooth pairing ; Comfortable to wear for long periods of time

Slippery case with small indent can make it hard to open ; Shorter than expected battery life ; Microphone is basically unusable for phone calls

Soul Emotion

If you're looking for a pair of true wireless earbuds on a limited budget, the $50 Soul Emotion won't disappoint as long as you aren't expecting too much.

Exceptionally affordable compared with the competition. Rich bass response. Easy to operate.

Audio can sound muffled at times. In-ear fit could be more secure.

If this were an expensive pair of true wireless earbuds, our rating would be low, as the sound is simply not fantastic. But they're decent enough, and for $50, decent seems forgivable right now in the true wireless realm. We like the sound of the $50...
