Sony MDR-ZX770BN review

Almost the perfect pair of noise-cancellers, but they lack a little excitement

Comfortable ; Stylish and understated ; Effective noise-cancelling ; aptX Bluetooth ; Open, spacious sound ; Deep bass

Lacking drive and dynamics ; Too smooth, particularly in the bass ; Treble isn’t the best

In some ways the perfect pair of affordable noise-cancellers, should you value comfort over musical excitement

Sony MDR-ZX770BN wireless headphone review: A Beats alternative for less

While it isn't quite as good as the Beats Studio Wireless, Sony's MDR-ZX770BN costs significantly less.

The Sony MDR-ZX770BN is a well-designed Bluetooth headphone, sounds good for the money, is comfortable to wear, and has active noise-cancellation with three ANC modes. It can be used as a wired headphone with the noise-canceling on.

Doesn't quite have the look and feel of a premium headphone; the three sound modes introduce more confusion than convenience.

While it isn't quite as good as the Beats Studio wireless, Sony's MDR-ZX770BN is a quality Bluetooth headphone and costs significantly less.

Sony MDR-ZX770BN review

  (Rating Hidden)

Sony's over-ear MDR-ZX770BN headphones seek to provide a first-class, noise-cancelling experience without the wires. The set is designed for those on the move, but high-quality sound with wireless freedom can be a tricky mix to achieve. We sent this...

Sony MDR-ZX770BN Bluetooth Headset HEADPHONES

The Sony MDRZX770BN Bluetooth and Noise Canceling headset are stylish, great-sounding headphones. They're comfortable and have an efficient control scheme and button layout. Unfortunately, they feel a little flimsy and poorly isolate the listener, so...

Lightweight, comfortable design. ; Efficient controls and ergonomic button layout. ; Great audio reproduction.

Flimsy joints and build quality. ; Poor noise isolation. ; Bass and treble delivery varies significantly across users. Sensitive to glasses.

Sony MDR-ZX770BN Review: Bluetooth Headphones

The Sony MDR-ZX770BN headphones provide a strong mix of audio quality and functionality. For $229, music lovers get a pair of wireless cans that deliver clean, balanced audio. The AINC technology blocks out most ambient noise and delivers an estimated...

Balanced, clean audio ; Good active noise cancelling ; Long Bluetooth range ; Easy to use controls

Could be louder in most cases ; Calls sound muffled and distant

The Sony MDR-ZX770BN wireless noise-cancelling headphones deliver precision sound with 13 hours of battery life at a reasonable price.

Headphones

Very disappointed to find that these noise cancelling headphones did not cancel noise. I bought the headphones so that I could meditate, but they did not cancel enough noise to accomplish this.

Over Ear Headphones

I have never been a fan of over ear headphones until I took a chance on these. The sound quality is amazing. The bluetooth connects to my phone immediately. The headphones are comfortable to wear for hours on end. I use them walking to and from work,...
