Sony MDR-100ABN h.ear on Wireless

The Sony MDR-100ABN h.ear on Wireless headphones are made for the buyer who wants everything. They have the eye-catching looks of a set of street headphones, and also include wireless functionality and active noise cancellation.

Decent sound quality, great wireless, and noise cancellation that's comparable to that of the Bose QC25 make the Sony MDR-100ABN h.ear on Wireless and excellent option for just about anyone who lives or works in the city.

Sony H.ear On MDR-100ABN review

Sony's latest headphones look great and, more importantly, sound great too

Exceptional comfort ; Long battery life ; Brilliant Hi-Res Audio functionality ; Stylish look

Lack of low-battery warning ; No touch controls ; Wireless Hi-Res Audio only available through LDAC devices

Stunning to look at and fantastic to listen to, the latest in the H.ear On range proves once again that Sony is up there with the best when it comes to manufacturing high-quality headphones.

Sony MDR-100AAP review

A respectable offering from Sony, but these headphones can be bettered for the money...

Open soundstage ; Plenty of detail ; Lightweight and fold away tidily ; Easily listenable balance

Lacks expression and punch ; Competitors time better ; Rolled off treble

Sony’s h.ear ons are a respectable pair of on-ear headphones, but we want for for our £150

Sony MDR-100ABN h.ear on Wireless NC headphones review: Silly name, serious noise-cancelling

Top-end Sony MDR headphones of recent years have offered a fantastic range of over-ear and on-ear products with leading audio. So when we received the new Sony MDR-100ABN wireless noise-cancelling headphones we were rather excited about using them on...

Decent noise-cancelling ability, sound fine when active, comfier to wear than earlier MDR models

Passive quality is poor, plasticky look and feel, expensive for what they are, not class-leading sound like earlier MDR models

With the battery charged, power on, volume up high and noise-cancelling activated the h.ear on Wireless NC MDR-100ABN headphones are at their best. In this situation the output is solid, albeit not class-leading and not of the quality of previous...

Sony H.ear On MDR-100A review: Can this stylish headphone take on Beats?

Sony's latest headphones have an odd name and a flashy design. But they're not the best-sounding headphones the company currently sells.

The Sony H.ear On MDR-100A is a stylish-looking over-ear headphone that comes in eye-catching colors and is very comfortable to wear. It delivers pleasant, detailed sound, and folds up into an included protective carrying pouch.

Finish can get scratched if dinged, which tarnishes the headphone's attractive look; a little pricey at $200; falls short of being a true "high-fidelity" headphone.

While it would stand out from the competition more if it cost a little less, the Sony H.ear On MDR-100A is a likable over-ear headphone that's comfortable, sounds good, and is attractively designed.

Sony MDR-100AAP h.ear review

  (Rating Hidden)

The Sony MDR-100AP h.ear headphones are a straightforward pair of over-ear headphones, lacking any thrills such as noise cancelling and wireless features. They are available in a wide range of colours, though. Will these headphones brighten your mood?...

Sony h.ear on MDR-100AAP headphones review

The Sony h.ear on MDR-100AAP is the latest pair of earphones from Japanese giant Sony, and despite the absurd name they're actually quite good. We've been using a pair to find out exactly how good - read on to find out how we got on.

Costing around £150, the h.ear on MDR-100AAP provide a well-made, bold and decent-sounding package. They're also incredibly comfortable, and we were able to wear them for hours on end without any discomfort

We liked the black h.ear on MDR-100AAP headphones, but some of the other colours are garish to say the least - the hot pink model is a hot pink mess - it's genuinely revolting! They're also not the best headphones out there when it comes to noise...

In short though, despite the ridiculous name and some iffy colour choices, the h.ear on MDR-100AAP offer up a superb sound, a comfortable listening experience and they're well worth a look - we can't imagine regretting buying a pair.

Sony H.ear On review

You can get Sony's H.ear On headphone ($200, ‎£150, AU$300) in standard "charcoal" black, but what makes it stand out is the vibrant, eye-catching colors it comes in, including cinnabar red, lime yellow, Bordeaux pink or the viridian blue pictured...

Sony MDR-100AAP / MDR100AAP h.ear on HEADPHONES

The Sony h.ear on MDR-100AAP are average over-ear headphones, with an eye-catching design and a decent sound. They're lightweight and fairly stable, but they struggle a little in loud environments. They don't block much noise and also leak a little at...

Decent audio reproduction. ; Lightweight, comfortable design.
