Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset review

Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Bluetooth headset

The easy-to-use Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 offers superior sound quality and an admirable feature set.

The Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970's wearing style is a bit clunky. Also, the multi-device function could perform better.

Despite some design and performance complaints the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 delivers solid sound quality and generous features.

Review of Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 stereo Bluetooth headset

Sony Ericsson has always been much interested in Bluetooth headsets production " in fact the company is one of the leading manufacturers of such gadgets. So it is not a secret why its first music stereo Bluetooth headset HBH-DS970 has attracted so much...

Taking account of how poor this segment is, Sony Ericsson DS970 doesn't have any credible competitors. Having the price of 90-100 Euros the headset is a bit cheaper than Nokia HS-12W (105-115 Euro). However Nokia product's strengths are metal casing...

Superior sound quality. Easy to use. Supports a range of Bluetooth profiles.

Wearing style is a bit clunky. Sometimes refused to enter synchronisation mode.

An interesting take on Bluetooth headsets, but as they're almost as cabled as full headsets, we're not that sold on the HBH-DS970's potential.

Review: Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Stereo Bluetooth Headphones

I travel a lot, so I like to have my music without having to carry around another device (i.e. iPod or MP3 player) to listen to it. This is

Can be used in any situation, including exercising, Solid build, Good sound quality, Comfortable to wear, Advanced call management controls, Supports pairing with multiple devices at the same time, Includes a small plastic carrying case

Poor sound quality on other end of call in windy conditions, Does not include mega bass or equalizer features, Does not support USB charging

The actual unit hangs on your neck and rests on your chest. It then has ear buds (with 3 different sizes to choose from) that include a microphone that hangs down just below your ear so you will never miss a phone a call while using it

Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970

I really wanted this headset to be great. I spent a lot of time looking, and finally sprang for it. Sadly, I was deeply disappointed.

Physically, it's very functional, comfortable and well laid out. Neat little display

Tendency to lock up during pairing, and to lose pairing information. Once it locked up, the reset procedure in the manual did nothing. I had to wait for the battery to run all the way down to pair it again. Sound quality is mediocre

one of the best functioni in this BT headset is that you can charge during use, for example answer a call or listen to music while charging the headset, while most other BT headset will be disable during charging.
