Sennheiser PXC 550-II review

Smaller, lighter and less showy than Sennheiser's Momentum Wireless alternative, the reinvigorated PXC 550-II could be the shrewder choice.

Judicious sound Good battery life Subtly premium looks

Struggles on trebly recordings Not showy Competition from other Sennheiser cans

Build and materials quality, battery life and sound quality are all impressive. Only latent treble troubles prevent a whole-hearted recommendation.

Sennheiser PXC 550-ii review: Fantastic travel headphones

Sennheiser's PXC series is a stylish, portable and compact pair of great-sounding over ear headphones

Great sound ; Lightweight and comfortable design ; Portable and compact ; Noise-cancelling is effective

Would like more adjustable EQ ; Not the most premium design ; Touch-sensitive panel can be over-sensitive

If you want a pair of no-frills, great-sounding headphones that you can take with you anywhere and wear all day, look no further. These headphones will do that for you. They're not the most exciting to look at, but they are solid performers.

Sennheiser PXC 550-II review

The family that plays together...

aptX Bluetooth (and low latency too) ; Decent battery life ; Deft noise-cancelling ; Balanced, enjoyable sound

Intolerant of careless recordings ; An absolute stack of competition

It’s not often big over-ear headphones can be described as ‘discreet’ – but that’s how the PXC 550-IIs look and sound

Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless Review

The Sennheiser PXC 550-II Wireless are decent, well-rounded headphones. These premium-looking over-ears are very similar to their predecessor, the Sennheiser PXC...

Very stable and comfortable fit. Closed-off passive soundstage. App has EQ presets. Mic has decent noise handling. Premium look and feel. Great ANC performance. Very accurate bass and mid-range performance.

Somewhat bulky design. No IP rating for water resistance. Uneven treble performance hurts overall audio reproduction.

The Sennheiser PXC 550-II are decent for neutral sound. While their bass and mid ranges are excellently well-balanced, unfortunately, their treble isn't and may sound harsh or piercing. Due to their closed-back design, they also have a closed-off...

Review: Sennheiser PXC 550-II | Sennheiser Plays It Safe Sennheiser PXC 550-II

An already well-functioning model has been updated with variable noise reduction and voice control. The user interface, on the other hand, has become somewhat

The sound is among the best on the market, and the noise reduction works smoothly. Comfortable fit, without taking up too much space in the luggage.

The new features seem a little ill-considered. The combination of microscopic buttons and a jumble of hand signals makes steering more difficult than necessary.

Review: Sennheiser PXC 550 II – ANC/BT headphones more of the same but better

The Sennheiser PXC 550 II is the next version of the PXC 550. The changes are subtle – voice assistance (all three), adaptive noise cancelling, BT 5.0, Sennheiser PXC 550 II

BT 5.0. aptX/LL, AAC for high res music;Huge battery life 20/30-hour BT/cable/ANC;Smart Pause/resume;Impressive noise cancelling is as good as it gets;Perfect traveller’s, lightweight, comfortable, foldable headphones

There is a lot of competition, now at lower prices
