Today we are looking at the Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 headset. The '7.1' part of the name is obviously a r The Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 – a beautiful headset capable of 7.1 surround-sound. Is £99.95 a fair price?
Looks great.
Pricey when compared with the competition.
With just a few minor modifications, the Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 would be the perfect headset. It still comes well-recommended thanks to its strong sound quality, excellent comfort and attractive visuals, but there are cheaper options available.

Razer gives its virtual 7.1 gaming headset a refresh - for better or worse?
This is a clear improvement over the Kraken 7.1 Chroma in many important regards: Build quality, sound quality and comfort have all been tweaked for the better. The lack of a volume wheel is still a nuisance, though, as is the cable noise in quieter...

The Razer Seiren V2 Pro is a good USB microphone for content creators, but you really need a Windows system to unlock all of its features.

Despite being as bulky as ever, the 2016 Kraken arrives packed with improvements—and is the best showing this line has had in a long time.
Sturdier aluminum chassis ; Finally ditches the streetpunk look of its predecessors ; Better audio than the old Kraken, especially after EQ adjustments
Bulky looking ; Out-of-the-box audio is flat and lifeless ; No volume controls
It’s a big year for Razer. Less than six months ago, I was ragging on the outclassed Kraken in my Man O’ War review. Now the Kraken’s folded in many of the Man O’ War’s improvements, but with a durable aluminum design and much more affordable $100...

The Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 is another excellent product, having some of the best audio quality we have seen out of any headset to date. It's very comfortable...
While the does have some drawbacks, notably the inconsistent microphone quality and being slightly less convenient to operate than some of the other products, but it is hard to argue with its superior audio quality if that is what you look for in a...

If you can get past the Kraken 7.1 V2's bulkiness and lack of versatility, you'll find a surprisingly comfortable headset that provides great sound for both games and music. An $100 price tag is definitely fair, given the high-quality audio. Whether...
Extremely comfortable ; Great sound ; Lots of music presets ; Good mic
No 3.5-mm options ; No gaming audio presets
Although it's hardly subtle, the Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 delivers top-notch sound with supreme comfort for both competitive and single-player gamers.

Sounds great and mic is too good for any distortion. The lights change colour and and mic turns red when clicked off by the button.
Slightly too big, it should be unisex as I am a girl and smaller than the average male head size so the headset is a little bit too big for my head unfortunately.

Great bass 3.5mm jack so can be used with anything (comes with splitter for pc) Very comfortable to wear, circular earcups are big enough to fit over my ears, has so much cushioning too
