Razer BlackShark V2 X Review: Affordable Surround Sound

Razer's entry-level BlackShark V2 X headset is one of the cheapest ways to get virtual 7.1 surround sound.

Lightweight ; Comfortable fit ; Well-cushioned leatherette earpieces ; Decent noise cancellation

No USB adapter for using software ; Cheap construction

The Razer Blackshark V2 X is very light, which is great for long hours of play, and the new 50mm drivers pump solid sound. Unfortunately, the design feels fragile.

Razer BlackShark V2 X Review

The Razer BlackShark V2 X are the Razer BlackShark V2's pared-down, budget-friendly sibling. Even though they don't offer a lot of features such as companion sof...

Downloadable virtual soundstage feature available. Comfortable and stable fit. Excellently-performing boom microphone.

Sub-par controls. Gamer-centric design. Non-detachable audio cable. Disappointing noise isolation. Inconsistent bass and treble delivery. No companion software.

The Razer BlackShark V2 X are passable for neutral sound. Depending on the headphones' fit, positioning, and placement on your head, you may experience inconsistent bass or treble delivery. That being said, they have a dark and bass-heavy sound...

RAZER BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset - Black

It's so cheap, but by no means is the quality compromised. It's sturdy, the sound is clear and there is some good noise cancellation, the microphone is fantastic; it's incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear for long gaming sessions.

It was slightly tight when I first put it on, the squeeze was strong initially but nothing a few days of use couldn't fix!

RAZER BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset - Black

The notice cancellation is amazing and the quality of sound and mic delivery is perfect.

The headset needs a variable volume change for game and chat for example.

RAZER BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset - Black

Cheap

Sound quality is bad, no low end. Mic picks up sound coming from the headset. Clamping force is way to hard, head starts hurting after less than an hour of use.
