Optoma NuForce BE Free8 truly wireless headphone review

Basic-but-good truly wireless headphones

Good sound quality ; Excellent noise isolation ; 16-hour battery life

Audio stutters periodically ; Cheap-feeling build ; Slippery

The Optoma NuForce BE Free8 are a pair of excellent bare-bones headphones that won’t break the bank. The headphones nail the basics with ease of use, sound quality and battery life. You may not find any standout features but for listening to music on...

Optoma NuForce BE Free8 review

A reliable pair of wireless headphones to soundtrack your run or gym session.

Decent balance and fair amount of detail ; Lightweight ; Waterproof

Rhythmically disappointing ; Lack of punch and drive ; Short of dynamic expression

Optoma’s BE Free8 are ultimately inoffensive and may find their home in the ears of gym bods, but they fall short of class-leading sound

Optoma NuForce Be Free8 review: Wire-free in-ears with elongated battery life

After some initial foibles, we're relatively impressed with the Optoma Be Free8. They offer a good sound, are easy to setup, connect easily to your

Clear and detailed sound ; Strong wireless connection when in the ears ; Long battery life from included charging case

Not the most comfortable fit ; Not always the most expressive sound ; Some left-right pairing issues

After some initial connectivity foibles, we've come to be relatively impressed with the Optoma Be Free8. They offer a good sound and keep a consistently good wireless connection during playback - so long as you leave them firmly wedged in your ears.

Optoma NuForce BE Free8 review

Optoma's BE Free8 cuts all the cords without breaking the bank.

Smooth, consistent audio quality ; 4 sizes of gels ; Solid battery life ; AAC and aptX codec support ; Competitively priced

Limited controls and feature set ; Noisy Bluetooth connection ; No auto shutoff

By selling the BE Free8 for $150, Optoma is in line with Apple’s market-leading AirPods, but with a bit better sound quality. They are light and comfortable to wear, and finding the right seal is a matter of experimenting with the different gels. Audio...

Optoma NuForce BE Free8 review: These may be the wire-free earbuds you're looking for

With both Apple and Google dumping the headphone jack you may be in the market for some wire-free earbuds, the BE Free8 from Optoma may be the ticket.

Great sound with a good amount of bass ; Comfortable ; Nice design, not too huge ; Easy to setup ; Great battery life considering their size ; Nice carrying case and extra battery

Had a few instances of dropped Bluetooth signal ; May be a bit pricey for some

I believe brands have figured out how to maintain a solid connection between the two buds and we’re going to start seeing more excellent wire-free options. I also believe that the $100-$199USD price point is going to be the sweet spot for the better...
