Master & Dynamic MW65 review

Luxury materials but disappointing noise cancellation

Unrivaled build quality ; Google Assistant built in ; Punchy and fun sound

Frustratingly weak ANC ; Finicky earpads ; Expensive

The Master & Dynamic MW65 feel great and have unrivaled build quality but using them is frustrating. The ANC is weak compared to the much cheaper competition and while we appreciate the luxurious build, we can’t recommend them for those who rely on...

Master & Dynamic MW65 review: An impressive but expensive wireless noise-cancelling headphone

With its durable, eye-catching design and smooth sound, the MW65 ANC gets high marks, but the $499 price tag hurts its broader appeal.

Built with anodized aluminum instead of stainless steel, the Master and Dynamic MW65 is lighter than the company's previous full-size models and more comfortable to wear. It delivers rich, smooth sound and features active noise-cancelling technology...

It's expensive and may not fit people with smaller heads. While it works well as a headset for making calls, there's not sidetone feature to let you hear your voice inside the headphones.

While it's a little overpriced at $500, the Master & Dynamic MW65 is a mostly excellent noise-cancelling headphone.

Master & Dynamic MW65 review: Almost the perfect headphones

Master & Dynamic took its time to deliver a set of noise-cancelling headphones, and the wait was well worth it. They have a more refined design than most of the competition, but the MW65 are expensive. Even though the premium materials and stellar...

Stellar design ; Great audio quality ; Lightweight and comfy ; Intuitive controls ; USB-C charging

Expensive ; Noise cancellation won’t please everyone ; Doesn’t fold flat for storing

Master & Dynamic MW65 Review

Ideal bass depth and crisp clarity throughout the frequency range ; Comfortable fit ; Solid noise cancellation

Expensive ; ANC is very good, but not the best for the price

The luxurious Master & Dynamic MW65 headphones deliver wonderful Bluetooth audio and good noise cancellation for a high price.

Master & Dynamic MW65 review: Beauty in design, elegance in sound and ANC onboard

The Master & Dynamic MW65 wireless headphones are the company's first wireless headphones with Google Assistant and ANC and they are fabulous!

Beautiful design ; Premium materials ; Easy to setup and use ; Clean and neutral sound stage ; Great battery life ; Google Assistant capable

They are pricey, but sometimes that old saying you get what you pay for...is true. ; A hard shell carrying case would have been a nice touch

These aren’t the ANC headphones for you if you don’t want to kill your pocketbook. There are other cheaper options. But those options also do not sound nearly as good as the MW65s. Even ANC headphones that are priced nearly the same still do not sound...

Master & Dynamic MW65 Review: Premium ANC Headphones That's Worth It

The MW65 is beautifully crafted premium headphones with ANC to suppress noise. Excellent sound quality for the discerning stylish audiophile owner.

Beautifully crafted, premium materials Exceptional sound quality supporting aptX HD

ANC does not work as well as lower-priced competitors

The Master & Dynamic MW65 is a special breed of headphones. It looks good, feels good, and most importantly, sounds good. I enjoy the audiophile-grade tuning when listening through passive audio wires, and the flexibility of eliminating ambient noise...

Master & Dynamic MW65 Review: An Expensive Noise Canceller with Better Sound than Bose

The Master & Dynamic MW65 produces fantastic sound and prominent noise cancelling, but performance bugs hinder its full potential.

Remarkable audio performance ; Impressive active noise cancellation ; Luxe, lightweight designs ; Better battery life than Bose and many other models ; Responsive controls

Buggy performance ; Poor call quality ; Too expensive

Buy the Master & Dynamic MW65 if audio and aesthetics take precedence over everything, and money is no object.

Review: Master & Dynamic MW65 over-ear ANC headphones are pricey but lovely

Master & Dynamic MW65 over-ear headphones launched this week, the company's first ever noise-canceling headphones. For a long time, my audio loyalty was split between two companies: Bang & Olufsen and Bowers & Wilkins. That changed in 2014 with Master...
