Klipsch Reference R6i review

These fine in-ear headphones are blessed with a natural sound...

Comfortable fit ; Rich, weighty bass ; Warm and articulate midrange ; Expansive treble

Significant cable noise

An honest, balanced and detailed sound that will be difficult to beat at this price

Klipsch R6i In-Ear Headphones review

In the past, Klipsch's sub-$100 in-ear headphones had a more neutral sound profile that was a bit of a counterpoint to the bass-hyped sound of Beats and other popular brands targeted at a more youthful audience.

The bass-rich Klipsch R6i In-Ear Headphones are comfortable to wear and offer a tight seal thanks to Klipsch's oval-shaped eartips. The flat-cord design is equipped with a three-button inline remote and microphone, and Klipsch's well-designed carrying...

The R6i headphones lack treble detail.

If you're looking for comfortable in-ear headphones with very plump bass, the Klipsch R6i model will do it, but they're also short on detail and clarity.

Klipsch Reference R6i On-Ear

The Klipsch Reference R6i On-Ear headphones deliver powerful bass response paired with enough crisp highs to keep things fairly balanced.

Powerful audio performance with intense bass-forward sound signature. Comfortable, lightweight design. Inline remote.

Bass-heavy sound not for purists. Light on accessories.

In short—this is an excellent $100 headphone pair for bass lovers, but not for those looking for a bit more overall balance. If balance—without sacrificing bass response completely—is what you're after, the Marshall Major II and the AKG Y50 are both...

Klipsch R6i In-Ear Headphones

The Klipsch R6i earphone pair delivers deep bass and crisp highs in a reasonably priced, secure-fitting design.

High-quality audio performance with rich bass, crisp highs. Comfortable design with multiple eartips. Inline remote control and microphone.

Some distortion on deep bass at top volumes. Not for purists seeking flat response.

If you have a bit more room in your budget and are looking for a less bass-heavy in-ear pair in this price range, the Klipsch X4i is another solid option from the company, but with a more dialed-back bass response. If you like the bass-boosted sound,...

Klipsch S6i: Ace of bass (review)

If you love bass, Klipsch's latest sub-$100 in-ear headphones could be right up your alley.

Klipsch R6i White

It came as something of surprise then that the company's R6i, a $100 in-ear model (£79 in the UK, "coming soon" in Australia) that you can get for closer to $80 online, is a bit of a departure from previous models like the S4i , S4i II , and...

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Excellent in-ear buds for the price.

Had these gems for 6 months and can recommend fully. Personally, I found the midrange and treble far better than expert review. They certainly bring life to dead recordings. Suitable for all genres of music. Cable is ok but impacts on music if moved...

Controlled deep bass, detailed midrange, sweet treble, comfortable.

Cable noise. Distort at high volume.

"Quality is not bad"

I have owned a Klipsch earphone for less than a month. But it's faulty now due to a minor bend on the stereo plug. I was using this earphone on flight to watch in-flight entertainment. Using a flight adapter, I am able to listen to a better quality...

Sound quality is good

The stereo plug can be easily broken
