Genius GHP-04NC Noise-Cancelling Headphones

They're cheap, but are they cheerful?

Genius GHP-04NC review

These Genius noise-cancelling over-ears have great noise cancelling ability, but the sound is both woolly and lacking in clarity

Great noise-cancelling ability ; comfortable

Poor hazy sound ; lack clarity

Comfortable noise-cancellers, but the sound just isn’t up to much

Genius GHP-04NC review

Genius is known for making budget computer peripherals and other accessories, and it's nice to see the company making a foray into the world of noise-canceling headphones. The big headline here is the price: The GHP-04NCs only cost $50, which is $300...

Affordable noise-canceling headphones; strong bass; carrying case included.

Lack sonic detail; not very comfortable; design looks a little cheap.

The Genius GHP-04NC noise-canceling headphones deliver strong bass and OK sound in a $50 package that includes a carrying case, but they a look a little cheap.

Earphones from Genius : Genius GHP-04NC headphones

While earbuds are popular, my travels around London still see a lot of people preferring Earphones and in fact it seems to me especially in noisy environments that such items are in fact more popular than they used to be.

The Genius GHP-04NC Earphones are available from the link below for £27.59 plus delivery (£3.99 when I entered my post-code)

GHP-04NC review

Noise-cancelling technology usually costs an arm and a leg, so we were intrigued to try the Genius GHP-04NC, which offer noise cancelling for £39.99

Excellent noise-cancelling for £40

Poor comfort, sound quality is only OK

Sound-wise, the headphones are OK. You sacrifice fidelity for the noise-cancelling tech - music quality is a bit muddy but perfectly passable for casual listening.

Genius GHP-04NC

Genius's GHP-04Nc headphones cancel a tiny bit of noise, but deliver thunderous bass—at an incredibly low price.

Outstanding bass response. Extremely affordable. Quality audio performance overall for price. Can be used in passive mode.

Weak noise cancellation. Somewhat uncomfortable to wear. Cable not detachable. Runs on AAA batteries.
