Creative Sound Blaster Katana V2 soundbar review: Game on

This compact soundbar and subwoofer combination do a great job of filling a room, with a particular focus on gamers given the RGB lighting feature.

Massive potential volume ; Solid RGB lighting ; Subwoofer makes for serious bass

Music-synced lighting is janky ; Sound isn't always delicate enough

This is a solid compact soundbar that'll be an upgrade on almost any TV speakers, but it doesn't have quite enough delicacy to make it an ideal choice for everyone.

Creative managed to improve the already great Sound Blaster Katana soundbar to produce one of the best compact gaming speakers you can buy. We took one for a spin to see how it performs with games, movies, music, and more.

250W of peak output power ; Great audio for movies and gaming ; Sleek design with RGB lighting ; Vastly improved remote control

Not great for larger rooms ; Need to be positioned correctly for best sound

Bottom line: The Katana V2 from Creative offers immersive sound with considerably more power output than its predecessor. The revamped remote also makes one of the best gaming soundbars less of a chore to live with.
