Goondu review: B&O Play Beoplay H9i sounds refined, has excellent noise cancellation February 8th, 2018 | by Alfred Siew Audio-visual 6

The Beoplay H9i pleasantly surprises with a neutral, transparent sound that handles a wide variety of material extremely well.

B&O Beoplay H8i and H9i headphones review: Diminishing returns

While the B&O Play H8i on-ear headphones sound good and have impressive battery life, they could be even better with a few more notches of volume.

Premium materials ; Touch controls ; Lightweight and decently comfortable ; Crisp and clear audio ; USB-C charging

Expensive compared to the competition ; Touch controls present a learning curve ; Companion app offers minimal audio controls

B&O continues its run of well-designed headphones with the H8i and H9i, and for the most part, the audio is up to par. The volume issue with the H8i is a big sticking point for me, especially when you consider how steep the investment is there. The H9i...

B&O Play Beoplay H9i

The handsome B&O Play Beoplay H9i headphones offer excellent audio quality in a luxurious design, but you can get better noise cancellation for less.

Rich bass depth matched with detailed highs. Adjustable EQ in app. Luxurious materials and lovely design. Can be used in passive, wired mode.

Expensive. Noise cancellation affects audio playback and adds hiss.

From an audio standpoint, the Beoplay H9i headphones are terrific, if a bit pricey. From a noise cancellation standpoint, they're not up to par with Bose, which sells the Bose QuietComfort 35 II for $150 less. So if you're looking for the best active...

B&O PLAY Beoplay H9i Wireless Review

The B&O PLAY H9i are decent noise cancelling over-ear headphones that can be used for a variety of daily use cases. They have an exciting V-shaped sound profile,...

Great design and build quality.;Comfortable fit.;Good battery life.

Worse ANC than comparable headphones.;May be too bass-heavy for some.

Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i review: Gorgeous headphones with great active noise cancellation

B&O's H9i headphones hit a high note with excellent active noise cancellation, premium build quality, and superb sound.

Beautiful design and premium build quality ; Excellent active noise cancellation and outstanding transparency mode performance ; High-end audio performance

Gesture pad can be finicky on rare occasions ; Can become uncomfortable after long listening sessions ; No support for aptX, aptX HD, or LDAC

B&O’s Beoplay H9i headphones hit a high note, with superb sound, premium build quality, and excellent ANC performance that falls just short of the reigning champs from Sony and Bose.

well worth getting

I loved these the minute I saw them. The quality is as pictured and the sound is pure perfection. The only disappointment of these is the over head piece does not adjust small enough, as they slipped forward when I bent my head forward.

Great Sound

It was a hard choice between the Bang & Olufsen and Bose the deciding factor for me if I'm paying this sort of money for wireless headphones then the material used should be of high quality and not plastic.I to go for the Bang & Olufsen and I'm glad I...
