Audeze LCD-X

Headphones don't get much better than this

Incredibly natural sound ; Comfortable ; Replaceable XLR cables

Big and heavy ; Need a suitable amp ; Eye-wateringly expensive

Audeze’s most practical open-back headphones yet are still not all that practical, but are capable of jaw-dropping sonics.

Audeze LCD-X Headphones review

Incredibly detailed headphones that can be used for studio monitoring

Tank-like build and serviceability ; Incredible instrument separation ; Neutral balance and gobs of detail

Requires a headphone amp ; Laid-back sound isn’t for everyone ; They're heavy

Audeze LCD-X Over-the-Ear Headphones

Audeze has been a rising star in the headphone arena for several years, making their name with extremely high quality planar magnetic over-the-ear designs. Their latest model is the LCD-X, which touts a thinner diaphragm for improved transients.

Audeze LCD-X (2021) Audeze LCD-X (2021) Review - Rhythms we never thought possible

With LCD-X, Audeze shows itself at its best. Here you get a lot from the top models, but at a more palatable price.

Fast like few, with serious attack and lots of energy. The bass is great, and the midrange is super focused. Easy to drive!

Heavy. Some will find the overall sound a little brash, while the treble is more laid back.

The 2021 edition of the Audeze LCD-X is truly addictive. You get plenty of punch and power, something that planar magnetic headphones aren’t really known for. The bass is rock-solid and extremely tight, and the midrange literally stands out, making...

Build quality to die for

These headphones are by far the best built I have ever tried, and I have tried a few. Sound went from great to amazing whilst pairing with the RME ADI-2 DAC and with EQ. Lovely headphones. Staff at Richer Sounds were amazing as usual, love buying from...

A clear improvement over the LCD-2

I've owned the HD 800 for about 4 years now and I had the LCD-2 for over two years before I sold them. The LCD-2 were great, but as I improved the electronics around my headphones the HD 800 kept getting better while the LCD-2 hit the ceiling for their...

Reference level bass, fantastic midrange, much improved treble, build quality, easy to drive

The LCD-X

Hello hifi communities. This is my very first thread on head-fi as well as the first review. So please chill if you dislike my opinions and ignorant. I just received my LCD-X, paired up with Burson Conductor running through foobar on ASIO with flacs,...

Amazing Details, Amazing instrument seprartions, and the typical Audeze, Neutral, opened up the wall of LCD-2

Not worth the 1699$, doesn't worth to upgrade from LCD2 or LCD-3, neither fun nor engaging. Heavy and comfort issues
