Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 review

Bad to the bone or fit for champions?

Comfortable over long periods of wear ; Lightweight, flexible and robust design ; Offer acceptable sonic organisation and some textural insight

Sound lacks depth, body and punch ; Not enough sense of dynamics or rhythm ; Lacking clarity and insight

If you’re looking for a pair of comfortable, well-designed sports headphones and can’t abide in-ear models, the OpenRun Pro 2 may appeal. If you care about sound, though, they likely won’t be for you

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 review: my new workout soundtrack

Who said bone conduction and bass don't mix? The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 proves it can be done, and done very well indeed

Impressively clear audio with more bass than any rival ; Long battery life and USB-C charging ; Light, comfortable, and easy to clean

No wear sensor or auto-off ; Carry case is a bit big

Shokz’ best take on bone conduction yet. The OpenRun Pro 2 improves on its predecessor in all the right places, and sound good enough to use all the time – not just when you’re working out.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 review | Digital Trends

The OpenRun Pro 2 take what Shokz has done well — open-ear headphones for active types of folks — and made them sound much better.

Improved audio ; Improved battery life ; Easy-to-use controls ; USB-C charging

Might struggle with glasses ; Not for audiophiles

“What I recommend when I recommend headphones for runners and cyclists.”

Class-leading audio response ; Good battery life ; Solid build quality ; Well-designed app

Can't be used for swimming ; Thin bass

The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 bone conduction headphones are best in class for runners and cyclists who need to remain aware of their surroundings while working out.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Air and Bone Conduction Technology

The latest workout headphones from Shokz outruns the competition with bigger sound and better battery.

Great fit for running. Big sound. Now has USB-C charging. Offers versatile open-ear sound with room to customize. Reduced bone conduction tickle at louder volumes.

Some clarity lost compared to the previous generation. Battery life shorter than promised. Waterproof rating not as strong as cheaper OpenRun iterations.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: A Frontrunner For Running With Bone Conduction Audio - SlashGear

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 further legitimize bone conduction audio as a top option for runners who want music and auditory awareness (for safety) all at once.

User-friendly button controls ; Lightweight ; Sweatproof ; Long battery life ; Multipoint pairing ; Equalizer modes for different audio types

Slight learning curve for first-timers ; Perfect fit depends on activity ; Max volume may be too low ; A bit pricey

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Review: Finally, Good Sound From Bone-Conduction Headphones

The secret sauce in Shokz's new flagship bone-conduction headphones is a hybrid speaker design. It really pays off.

Dual-driver technology improves sound dramatically ; Comfortable and secure open-ear design ; Low vibration ; Good voice-calling performance ; Limited sound leakage

Somewhat pricey

One of the best bone-conduction headphones I've tested has a 12-hour battery life

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 review: The best of both worlds

As long as you don't need peak water resistance, the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 is one of the best open-ear headphones out there.

Comfortable ; Good audio quality ; Long battery life

Only an IP55 rating ; Microphone isn’t as good as OpenFit

As long as you’re not wanting to swim with them, or wear them in a heavy rainstorm, the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 is one of the best open-ear headphones out there.
