OUTBACK EXCEL 300 BBQ

It's a lava rock BBQ Converts to Butane easily with full instructions included. Cover keeps it well protected in all weathers. Enameled wire rack easy to clean. Gas bottle shelf is brill. Even takes a 25kg canister.

Only means of moving is using the fold-down shelf as a handle. Could have built on my own except for a couple of fiddly screws so needed the recommended two people to assemble.

Looks good and easy touse

left the lid closed on low but burst into flames and damaged handle and paint.

Easy to clean ceramic grill

Hood rusts after about a year - this is the second time we've had this model so can put up with that!

Some of the paint peeled off underneath due to heat.

Assembling it is a long job, allow a long afternoon at least!

Instructions are not great! Engineering is poor (components do not align) and plastic is brittle. Handle broke during construction.

Unfortunately haven't been able to use it very much. Will look forward to using more next year
