Not so long ago you either paid a fortune for a dedicated satellite navigation unit fitted into your car's dash or struggled with a PDA and a separate GPS receiver plus a tangle of charging and ...

The TomTom ONE can't be beaten at its price. Its design perfectly fits its function in both hardware and software terms, and it really is built to last. There aren't many gadgets you can actually say are a pleasure to use, but this is one of them.

Ok got to promise not to go overboard on this but if you have a PDA and want in car navigation this is the doggies, possibly the best bit of PDA software on the market today, a full Satnav much easier to use than any in car supplied system at a tenth...

TomTom One 3rd Edition

TomTom have fiddled at the edges in the upgrade from Slim Edition to 3rd Edition, but the competitive price makes the One a worthy player in the entry-level GPS market.

Outlook It's a case of evolution over revolution but TomTom's updated and more sharply priced One should mean more converts to the GPS navigation fold.
