TomTom Go Live 820 Europe review

Let's assume you've already decided that you want a hardware sat-nav to direct your roads trips rather than a smartphone app. Well, let's assume that to start with anyway. In that case, you probably want something smart, simple and easy to use. One box...

No hassle set-up, Voice control works well, Traffic and weather info with subscription

Clunky interface, Battery will need charging en-route

TomTom GO 820 LIVE Review

TomTom's GO Live 820 GPS unit is a mid-range navigation device with a large 4.3in touchscreen. It supports TomTom's HD traffic service, which forms part of TomTom's Live services suite. The GO Live 820 represents excellent value, and combines a strong...

TomTom's GO Live 820 is an impressive GPS unit, but the real story here is the integration of the company's HD Traffic service. While not perfect, its integration is seamless and easy to use. The GO Live 820 is good value at this price, but we wish the...

TomTom GO LIVE 820 Top Gear Edition Sat Nav Review

If you're as bad as some of my family members at remembering various routes when driving, the TomTom Go Live 820 Top Gear Edition Sat Nav could be the ideal gift for a friend or loved one this Christmas. Available exclusively at Halfords this...

Great audio

Touchscreen was slightly unresponsive at times

Overall, we’re very impressed with the TomTom Go Live 820 Top Gear Edition Sat Nav. Even though the standard Go Live 820 is about £30 cheaper than this limited edition, it’s well worth the money if you’re a Top Gear fan!

TomTom GO Live 820 GPS unit

TomTom GO Live 820 review: The TomTom GO Live 820 is one of the first GPS units in Australia to feature TomTom's HD Traffic service

Ease of use and design ; HD Traffic and Live services ; Slick navigation experience

Voice commands hit and miss ; IQ Routes still prefers main roads ; Live services cost extra after 12 months

TomTom's GO Live 820 is an impressive GPS unit, but the real story here is the integration of the company's HD Traffic service. While not perfect, its integration is seamless and easy to use. The GO Live 820 is good value at this price, but we wish the...

TomTom Go Live 820

The entry level model in the Go Live range, the 820 has a 4.3-inch resistive touchscreen and a one year subscription to TomTom's proprietary HD Traffic service, as well as junction view, Bluetooth hands-free and camera warnings.

TomTom Go Live 820

Bluetooth hands free works well and was a main selling point as I do a lot of millage and a in ear hands free gets uncomfortable after long periods of driving

Doesn't have an option to upgrade to an HGV satnav, that said it does everything you ask it too

TomTom Go Live 820

Detailed voice directions, and easy to view and use.

The detailed view on the box is only when you are on the motorway at a junction, otherwise the view is as it used to be in previous tomtoms - simply lines...bit disappointing

TomTom Go Live 820

Easy to mount and feels quality, ease of use and set-up/config.

TomTom Live may send you on another route that then has traffic issues further away, but then its too late. You need to see the traffic issues for the whole route. This only applies to long journeys. Don't seem to be able to set a different noise for...
