Mio DigiWalker C710

Mio's top-end sat-nav unit is packed with features but is it as easy to use as a Tom Tom?

Live traffic data and speed camera alerts are also both offered by the C710. The former is provided via a built-in Traffic Message Channel (TMC ) receiver. This picks up traffic data over FM frequencies rather as a data download via a mobile phone....

The Mio C710 is excellent value for the international traveller looking for a device that can route them round Europe, and the traffic information is a great added feature. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve as you get used to the MioMap...

Mio DigiWalker C710

The Mio DigiWalker C710 portable GPS offers cool features at an aggressively low price, but it's no nüvi-killer.

Built-in traffic receiver. Built-in DivX video player. Sensitive SiRFstarIII receiver. GPS antenna integrated into the case.

Can't play music and navigate at the same time. No pedestrian mode. Phone menu not available from within navigation program. Can't search POI database by name.

Review: Mio C710 Digiwalker GPS System

Another review has hit the net on the Mio C710 Digiwalker GPS System, and overall, give it a pretty balanced assessment. I reviewed the Mio C310, the little brother of the C710, earlier this year, and thought that the product was pretty good; the size...
